Does he seem to be in any discomfort frmo it Sarah? Does he go out at all? It's probably nothing to worry about, but I'd probably give my vets a call just to see what they recommend. |

Hi Alexgirl and thank you for your reply (both of them haha!). He doesn't seem in pain as such, although I noticed he has washed that specific area a couple of times. He adores going outside so I guess anything could of happened to him (he also is extremely friendly and prone to getting shut in other people's houses/garages). I will phone the vets - thanks for the advice. x |

Do hope Scrabble is OK, Sarah. Years ago Merlin had an abscess due to a cat bite. He was very poorly and we thought he may have to have his tail amputated. Luckily, after it burst (right up the wall!) it cleared up completely and he did totally regain the use of his tail. I do hope this is not Scrabble's problem. |

Thank you so much everyone for encouraging me to take Scrabble to the vets. He had been bitten and he had an abcess.. she has cleaned it up and given us some anti-biotics to give him. angieh you are right, the vet said that if we had not taken him it would of undoubtedly gotten worse and may possibly have had to be amputated.. I am SOOOO glad I took him. THANKS GUYS!!! xx |
