Poor Buster! It's difficult, expressing a cat's bladder isn't the easiest thing to do at home-it takes a bit of practice! 3 days isn't all that long, I think he's really in the best place at the vets for now. I'm sure they'd let you visit regularly which should help him feel happier. Hope he improves enough to come home soon. |

I'm so sorry to hear about Buster! I agree with the others that 3 days isn't very long and although you miss him very much he's better off at the vets for now. Do let us know how he's doing........ |

So sorry to hear about your cat's accident. I have to say that I agree with the others, I feel he's best off at the vet's for the moment. He obviously needs a bit of specialist care right now. I hope there's soon some good news on his progress. |

Oh dear poor Buster and you must be missing him like mad, however the vet will have seen this before and will advise you in the best interest of your cat. I hope he is feeling better soon |

I'm sorry I cannt add anything else to what the others have said and I am very sorry to hear about Busters unfortunate accident. Sending lots of possitive vibes that he regains his mobility very soon so that he can come home to you. xxx |

But what happened? Did he hurt his back or legs? Did he have some kind of seizure/stroke? What's caused this paralysis? Does the vet know? Of course it's good that he is treating the resulting symptoms, but are there any clues as to what's caused this rather dramatic reaction? Having said that, I do hope that Buster recovers and is soon home with you. Currently though he's best looked after by the vet as it sounds as if he needs some rather specialist care. Please do let us know how he progresses. All the best. |

Hi everone thanks for all the kind wishes you have sent it means a lot.Buster was not progressing as well as he should have been. He wasnt getting messages from the brain to his lower half, the vet says there was a gap in his spine and that is why he was paralyzed and had no feeling. He could not urinate himself and yesterday his bowels stopped as well so we had to let him go today. I stayed with him until he fell asleep, it broke my heart but at least he is in no pain and at peace. Buster was a lovely friend and thanks again everyone. Patti... |
