Daily Thread / Friday

Morning all, looks like it will be another bright, sunny day today. A couple of the new puppy owners are coming to see the puppies today, with the rest coming tomorrow and Sunday. A busy weekend ahead!

Have a great day!

Hi,
Nice and sunny here this morning, hope it'll last. Worn out after being called out twice last night, once while I was being useless at the quiz, then again at 2am! Hoping for a fairly quiet day at work-need to conserve some energy for the rugby tomorrow.

Re: Daily Thread / Friday

morning..rainy here but hoping the sun will peek out for awhile as it has done lately even with the rain...excited it's friday...OH getting off night shift shortly..will run with the bank to him today and probably off to just pick up a few orders from the library...considering getting taz a ferret brother or sister this weekend as the kitten and puppy don't seem to entertain him much anymore and i do play with him but sometimes need to tend to the house and he seems a bit bored..a little excited at the thought but won't get my hopes up as i'm not for sure on the details (if one will be available and if my OH will be up to making the trip to get it). will probably clean the house today and try to get everything ready for the weekend..very excited as it is his first weekend off in weeks and i've hardly seen him.
almost forgot! (good thing i wrote this) tigger's old vet will be faxing me the script to continue his meds..need to fill that prescription and see if i can get his medical records transferred to my vet...
hope everyone has a great day...

Re: Daily Thread / Friday

It's another yucky day here, grey and mizzely rain but not cold.

I spent most of yesterday going through my Italian work as we have an end of term "review" next Tuesday - so need to carry on with that today. I'm hoping for one of those moments of epiphany! Oh yes, and setting those questions for the next quiz. I promise to leave out obscure Italian grammar!

Hope your GP appointment brings some results this pm Erin.

Have a good day all!

Well I have the Jekyll and Hide child again. Lovely this morning - playful funny and sweet. Woke up from his nap with the devil in him. I've had an hour of wall-to-wall screaming and throwing himself about. He's in his cot for a bit cooling his heels

Went into town today and cheered myself up by buying a lovely birthday present for myself; a Swarovksi crystal pendant on a chunky silver chain. I'm working on the principle that I will buy myself something if nobody else does!

The cats are currently getting a little airing in the garden, but it seems to be turning chilly so I think I'll bring them in and shut the door soon.

Re: Daily Thread / Friday

Afternoon, all; mostly cloudy and 8 degrees; predicted rain has held off so far. Market run as usual; there was a huge queue at the bank so will wait until tomorrow on the way back from the library to do the deposit. The bank is right at the bus stop where I get off, so very convenient....my tiny cedar of Lebanon tree came yesterday; planted it...it's much smaller than I thought...

Erin: hope all goes well at the doctor's office
Angie: happy cramming.....I remember those days so well.....

Re: Daily Thread / Friday

just back from the doctors,I only went to see if I can get some stronger painkillers as paracetamol is doing nothing.
It wasnt my usual doctor as he works at the hospital on a Friday afternoon so I had to see another and he wa c**p!!
He didnt bother to read any of my notes so I had to start from the beginning again. He then said so what does he (my usual doctor) think is wrong with you then? I just said hes not sure which is why Ive been refered back to gastro. Honestly anyway I have come away with Codeine so hopefully should ease the pains a little.

Got to try and get an hours sleep before work tonight. Its gone really really cold here now.

Hope you are all having a good day

Angieh, forgive the intrusion but I looked up your profile.

Good luck with the Italian. I met Jenny at an Italian evening class in 1984,she was married to someone else at the time so what with one thing and another we never completed the course.

We did eventually go back and both got GCSE A star in 1999 I was useless at languages at school so that gave me more pleasure than getting a PhD

Good for you Steph - our profiles are there for public view, so there's no need to feel that you've intruded!

Lovely story about you and your wife and what a star getting your A levels! That must have taken some work. Do you manage to visit Italy much?
