What is the correct name for gravely type cat litters?

What would it be classed as? You know the type I mean, the cheaper kind that looks like wee stones and doesn't really absorb, clump, deodour or do anything apart from provide the cats with somewhere to go?

Obviously there is paper based, wood based, clay based, hygenic types, is there actually a technical term for the gravely type? Is it something really obvious I haven't thought of?

A lot of it is Fullers Earth or clay type .......not sure if that's what you mean..

I've never seen that kind here, Random...I've always used the clay type.

I'd say Fullers Earth. The best ones I've used were the paper based ones to be honest.

Cheers Mags, there's lots and it's usually teh cheap shops own brands, maybe they are just a type of clay one?

Isnt it "lightweight" cat litter. Thats the stuff that doesnt clump.

Some gravely litters do clump. I have used 'Clean Paws' for years, (well not personally!!) but have discovered a better clumping cat litter, much lighter, organic, smells nice and cheaper too! Will have a look at the name when I go downstairs and let you know!
