stray cat help needed quick please

I have been feeding a semi ferral cat now for a few months over time he has ventured into my house and ive even found him asleep on my computer chair the one day but as soon as i enter the room he scarpers back outside as my back door is generally always open for my own 3 cats.

Thing is today i have came back from work to find out from my daughter who stupidly thought it would be a good idea to trap him in the house (kids aagghh) and he is now on top of my wardrobe in my room and refusing to move i have tried shaking the wardrobe squirting him with water etc but he is very scared and is hissing and basically telling me off lol any ideas on how to get him down as he obviously cant stay there.

Dont want to try grabbing him as like i said he is ferral and he will attack me.

Can you just open a window, and shut the bedroom door, then he will be able to get out...??

Oh dear, poor baby. Is it possible for you, your cats and other family members to perhaps go into one room, shutting the door and leaving the bedroom door and the back door open for the feral to escape?

Bless her, she was only trying to good a good deed. Its hard for a kid to see a cat as trully wild. Is it a young cat do you think?
