Daily Thread / Monday

Morning all, I missed yesterdays daily with having such a busy day, so thought I may as wll start todays Not much planned today, have the horses to attend to, a few bills to pay, shopping to do. The children are back at school after their Easter break. The puppies have flown the nest except for the one that is stopping here, so it's very much quieter here right now

Have a great day all!

Re: Daily Thread / Monday

Didn't sleep well as both Sebastian and Dominik were restless and upset. I suspect it was because on Sunday the empty house next door was occupied by squatters and the ensuing stress rubbed off on them. Coupled with 2 hours waiting in the hospital at the emergency docs on Saturday night with Sebi (only for us to leave as the wait for both boys was becoming interminable), it's not been the best of weekends and as a result I'm very tired and very edgy today.

Thankfully yesterday OH fixed a faulty internal shutter and also fitted some heavyweight bolts on the back door, just as well really!

Hopefully things will improve as today progresses.

Good morning all.

Cloudy here today. I'm grouchy and tired today but mine is hormonal. I am sick and depressed with having bad skin though. I feel like a teenager, (in the face only)

Going to look into making this better today.

Anyway Yola I hope Sebi is feeling better and you can get your squatters moved on, how stressful for you.

Have a good day all

Sorry to hear your problems Yola and hope Sebi is feeling better today. What a good thing your OH fitted those bolts!

Hello to everyone else too!!! Nice bright day here, blue sky but cold. Still have a few patches of frozen snow, but not many now.

Glad to say I have today learned that I've got some work for this week - so that's OK. Will probably make a start on it this afternoon.

Merlin has "gone off" the Felix supermeat that he was fine with for quite a while - I think he was actually managing to put on a bit of weight and was being regular in other ways too! So he's back on the jelly varieties at the moment - funny thing is, we'd just gone out and bought another couple of boxes of the supermeat. I'M SURE THEY KNOW!!!

Hi, all! Gloomy drizzle persists for the second day, and for tomorrow also; and it's only 4, wind chill 2 degrees! When oh when will it start feeling like Spring? A damp trip to the other market as I had a $1.00 off coupon for Leia's favorite dry food, plus needed some other stuff. Nothing interesting going on here ....

Yola: squatters, how awful! Hope it gets sorted soon and that Sebi feels better..
Angie: I agree, they do seem to know! Cuddles to dear Merlin; may he eat well....

Re: Daily Thread / Monday

Hi All,

Its afternoon now, first day back after a weeks leave and I feel headachy. Yola, hope the squatters get out soon for you; I have an awful feeling we may have the same problem soon. A house has been abandoned by the owners and its getting really in a bad state. we were told it was going on the market but no signs have gone up. The garden is overgrown, the windows dirty, they left the cats !!!, who are being fed by neighbours (outdoor types, with shelter in the yard)very bad affair!
Also hope Sebi gets well soon.
BC, I've got 'chocolate' skin too post Easter acne
have a good rest of the day, everyone.

Re: Daily Thread / Monday

They've GONE!!! Some builders came and effectively threatened them . . . something unfortunately the police are unable to do!

Just had one of the builders round; called Will . . . extremely good looking and well spoken, and a spit of HRH William. They have been cleaning the mess and needles all day - yikes! And this was after only 24 hours in the place

A lucky escape I'd say - thankfully the scum won't bring reinforcements and there won't be a full-scale war

What a relief, Yola! But don't understand why the police were ineffective? We have such different laws...
