Its a mixed bag here today. Cloudy but trying to be sunny. The thunder and lightening here yesterday was full on, it poured with rain. Sat watching a kestrel yesterday throught he binoculous on the back field. Meant to be going to a car boot this morning then a tidy round and not much else planned Have a good day all |

Horrible here to start off with, but has really brightened up now. We are off to a place called 'Calke Abbey' soon, it is a National Trust property in South Derbyshire, only about 20 minutes drive away. There have a craft fair there, and lots of grounds for walking the hounds! |

A bit glowery here - overcast but the sun is trying to break through. Really quite sticky and warm though. Done a bit of cleaning of the sinks this morning - now having a bit of a rest, on Catsey and doing the daily jigsaw! Have a great day peeps! |

Lovely day here....and warm.. My daughter, SIL and g.children visited this morning, brought me some lovely flowers which was nice. They stayed for a couple of hours and we were talking about getting a kitten for the children at the end of the summer holidays. Katie and Jamie would love one now but as they are all going away on holiday in June and August, we didn't think it would be fair to put the kitten in a Cattery twice, being so young. Hope everyone is enjoying their day! |

Has turned out to be a lovely day here, so warm! Just thinking of having a walk with the dogs to a local pub, sit outside with a drink and perhaps getting a bite to eat there too Hope everyone else has great weather too! |

Afternoon! Semi sunny and 16 degrees, below normal. Did the usual market run and popped in the liquor store; put out some seedlings of zinnias and tithonia that I'd started indoors to get an early start on color in the garden. Will plant the rest of the seeds outdoors when the soil has warmed a bit. Nothing new; Leia hasn't had the runs for two days now so whatever it was has gone, thank goodness! Kim: craft fair...sounds like lots of fun! Emma: would be nice to see a pic of the herb garden..... BC: kestrel...lucky you! Oh, what;s your bank holiday in honor of today? Enjoy, all! |

Well it turned into a nicer day than I expected I have been in the garden and really really enjoyed it, just finished now. Moved the daffs out of the big tubs and pottted the Perris in there they seem to be doing not very well. Also planted some of the some of the tubs with marigolds....had tp put a bit of a fence round the plants as it soon will be bee season and Tess is allergic to bee stings so better safe than sorry and it does not hurt but keeps them away from the plants the bee's like - she leaves them alone when she see's then but with the lavender and flowers coming in don't want to risk her brushing up against them. Have some bizzy lizzies for the front and some Geraniums - red. To plant still, in tubs pots. n0 |
