Daily Thread / Friday

Morning all. Overcast here atm but hoping it will brighten like it did yesterday. I'm off to Mildred's breeder later on to take some photos of her kittens and have a cuppa and a chat.

Hope you all have a lovely day

Re: Daily Thread / Friday

It's drizzling fairly consistently here now. I'm back from town as my watch strap broke so I had to take it in for sending away and reparing. Bought a cheappie replacement (as I can't be without a watch) but am still a bit lost as it doesn't have a date window!

Also got 3 pairs of trousers at M&S; skinny black 3/4 length ones, black combats which are very flattering and some cropped cream denims. Am seriously delighted that they are size 12s

Just about to put Sebi down for a nap and order my oak worktops so OH can (at last) finish the kitchen off!

Hi every-one

I'm just taking a wee break - the day has been pretty grey so far but I think I can see a bit of sun shining out!

The weekend is supposed to be good though so I might have a day off tomorrow and enjoy the sunshine *hopefully*

Re: Daily Thread / Friday

Hello everyone. Very overcast here, but muggy.

Housework today and a visit to our local farm shop for a nice free range chook for Sunday and some of their very nice pork sausages and bacon.

Nothing much going on - OH is having a well earned rest, watching the cricket (ie falling asleep) as he has mowed the lawns this morning.

Well done Yola - you must be so proud at getting the weight off so quickly. I can't remember if I was ever a size 12!

Has anyone heard from PinkLizzie?

We've just gone through a torrential thunder storm here, thunder, lightning, hail stones ....the lot! The road at the front is now slowly draining away after being flooded..

The best thing to come out of this is I won't need to water the garden tonight!!

Re: Daily Thread / Friday

Afternoon all,

Mags, yes that was some storm, waited until all my washing had been put out - lol then started!

A few of the cats are still out hiding under the bushes I am guessing, Mau Mau came in just soaking wet ! - she really should of came in when I called her, but preferred to stay sat in the front garden under her bush.

Not sure what to do for tea tonight, nothing really tempting left.

Have a good night all.

Julie x

Re: Daily Thread / Friday

Afternoon, people! Sunny but still cooler than normal: 15 degrees, the average temp now is 25....but is supposed to warm up nicely by the Memorial Day holiday Monday! About time..Nothing going on but the usual market run and some weeding in the back garden. Tomatoes and scallions are looking good, basil and peppers sort of puny....
I hate thunderstorms, scary! Oh well done, Yola, I was never a size 12! 14 is the best I've ever done, but it's a bit snug now..

Have a lovely day, all!
