Friday ~ daily thread

Morning all ! the weather can't make up its mind here today. It's bright and breezy then grey and threatening. It's colder too.
Took our old sheepdog Bronnie to the vet this am,she needs a cardiac scan next week, her 13 year old heart is going too fast. Vet said it may be cardiac failure which could mark the beginning of the end. She's very arthritic, already on Metacam, Synoquin, Tramadol. Poor baby, yet more tablets by the look of things. Will have to stay hopeful that treatment can do her good, and get her heart back beating properly again.

Sorry to hear about Bronnie PP, hopefully they'll be able to manage her heart using medication. My little dog has quite a severe heart condition which has been kept under control for the last two years. Will be thinking of you.
Not much planned today, medication isn't keeping me very comfortable this morning.

Sorry to hear Bronnie's poorly PP and sorry to hear you're not feeling much better PL

I'm at home with BOTH boys today, it being 1/2 term. Sebi's now taking a nap and Domi's glued to spiderman so I can catch 10 minutes on here and some lunch!

It's been frantic all week, clients are falling through the door like mad. Which means I can start planning a few things around the house like a new garden wall/gate in the front together with relaying our horrid concrete path with something more sympathetic to the house. Also looking at having the lean-to rebuilt as a proper conservatory. One of my Project Manager's partner is an architect and he's doing us the drawings FOC!

Humid this morning so I got lots done in the garden; overcase and spotting with rain now so will remain in doors for a bit methinks.

Afternoon ladies; where is everyone else? Brilliant sunshine on the way to the market but has clouded over now, but still pleasantly warm: 23 degrees. The beans are finally up in the garden, whoop-de-doo! Had plans for dinner tonight at that lovely Thai restaurant that I posted pics of last year; unfortunately they had to be rescheduled... So it will be minestrone soup and salad tonight instead....

PP: sorry to hear about Bronnie; hope the vet can come up with a plan to help her...
PL: sending healing vibes......
Yola: glad to hear business is taking a good uptick and that you can do some of the things you want to do in the garden; how is the little olive tree doing?

Wishing good weather and a nice day to everyone....

Re: Friday ~ daily thread

Belated Hello to everyone! First time on pc tonight. Not sure what happened to the day really. Went out to the post office and to collect a prescription for myself and one for MIL at the chemist and found that the scripts hadn't been forwarded from the surgery - so had to then go to the surgery to see what had happened. Such a pleasant lady at reception - my OH had taken the repeat forms in last Tuesday and usually you can count on the prescription being forwarded to the chemist and filled so the meds can be picked up within 3 days. But because of the Bank Hol the surgery had been so busy! Anyway, the receptionist found the scrips and went and found a doctor to get them signed and then of course had to go back to the chemist ..........

Came home and sat down to read a book, Merlin curled up on my lap and that was that .... zzzzzzzzz

So sorry about your sheepdog PP. Hope he can be helped. Also very sorry you're not feeling better PL - don't you go worrying about those mice now!

Weekend's here everyone. Let's hope the weather perks up a bit. Feel very sorry for people living in Crewkerne.
