Daily thread ~ SaturdayMorning all, the weekend begins!  Looks like it's going to be a nice day here so we are off for some sea air shortly.. Have a good weekend everyone!

Hoping that the lawn dries out a bit today as OH is anxious about the grass getting so long after all the recent rain, trouble is that at the moment, it's far too wet to cut. Think we're going to satisfy our gardening urge by continuing to cut back next door's laurel and conifer hedge that overhangs the fence so much. Had a load of baby great-tits at the feeders earlier and judging by the frequent visits of the adult blue-tits and other birds, there will soon be more babies joining them. I hope the nuthatch brings its babies to visit us! Enjoy your day everyone! |

Afternoon all, very very busy at the moment so forgive me if I am not around as much as normal. Pretty overcast here and a little windy. Off out to my sisters this evening for a few drinks. Am gonna stay over as her hubby is away for a few weeks, tomorrow, once we have walked the dogs and seen to several cats as well as my own, we are off to Drum Castle to see a dog show, think its a fund raiser for rescues, just hope the sun shines  |

Afternoon also! Cloudy and mild today; a chance of severe t'storms this afternoon; hope we don't lose power in the middle of the quiz! Changed books at the library and just messing around; nothing special on the agenda. The beans are growing like Jack in the Beanstalk story...just emerged yesterday and are already about 2" tall with first leaves!  And have flowers on the tomatoes.... sorry if this is dull for the non-gardeners here..  Enjoy the day, come to the quiz tonight if you can,,, 8 pm in Jokes and Funnies Section........ |

evening all! Sorry I'm late but I've been sleeping, I'm between night shifts. It's all cloudy and heavy here, I can hear rumblings of thunder in the distance,feels we could do with a good downpour to clear the air. Nothing new to report. I'm going to make the dinner now and watch Dr Who later, then prepare for another night shift which starts at 9pm. See you all tomorrow |

Evening all. Popped to a local garden centre and picked up a few more plants for my borders. Spent the rest of the day gardening. Hoping to do a bit more tomorrow and also decide on our holiday destination in June  |

Hi Kazz, Not too sure we are looking at the Algarve and Barbados, although knowing us it will be a week at home!!!! LOL Barbados looks really good but a little bit more expensive than what we wanted to pay as we are going on holiday again in September time. |
