Daily Thread / Monday

Morning all, overcast here at the moment. Hope the sun comes out! Not much planned today. Need to do a trolley dash at some point.

Hope everyone has a great day

Morning,
I went into work this morning, managed to last all of an hour! I cleaned and fed two in-patients before realising I couldn't actually cope
Off to the doctors again, more painkillers and a different antibiotic on top of the others. Possibly slight crackles in the lungs So..see how it goes, probably back to the docs tomorrow, just hope they don't sign me off again, this being at home lark is getting very dull.

Overcast but with a brightness about it here, also it's quite warm.

My daughter called in earlier, she and her family came back Friday after 4 days in EuroDisney. Whilst there Jamie (5) and his Dad developed chesty coughs and colds on the first day, Katie (7) had conjunctivitis in both eyes on the second day and on the following she developed croup! Sue was the only fit one amongst them all........ until this morning when she said she had a sore throat and felt rough!
Despite all that, she said they enjoyed it though!

Will probably be out in the garden weeding this afternoon.

Sorry your not feeling good PL, hope your feeling better soon
Sorry your Daughter had to cut her trip short hope they are all feeling better soon.

Denis caught a bird this morning at 8:00am, he ruffled it up a bit leaving it with a bald patch on its bum and removing a tail feather. It hasn't eaten, or drank yet and is in next doors garden against the fence. It has toddled about a bit and we are keeping our eye on it so fingers crossed it recovers. It does prove his skill though as he is harnessed and on a lead.

We are laying the slate floor in the extension and although I love it as it's rustic and imperfect and looks great OH has trouble with it not being perfectly square, straight etc. (OCD??).

LOL, I think it's just because he's a man!

Sunny, cloudless skies but a bit cool for early June: almost needed a jacket on the way to the market. Nothing especially planned for today, just a lazy afternoon..

Mags: sorry your family has been under the weather...
PL: ouch, back to work too soon! Take care of yourself ......

Enjoy the day!

Re: Daily Thread / Monday

Another grey day today! Poured with rain this afternoon but at least I managed to get out to the dentist and back in the dry! I had to have a filling and although the actual procedure was fine (I have a very good dentist!) my mouth is now sore and all the nerves are jangling about - hope everything settles down soon.

Sorry to hear that you're still under the weather PL. At least you had the good sense to know that 1 hour was enough. Back to the doctors with you and I hope he or she can find the right antibi to sort it out. We'll have to try and think of something to keep you amused and still convalescing in a relaxed manner!

When's the summer going to get here - anyone know?

Evening All! I'm late getting on today, been busy in work and then the dinner to sort out. Lemon chicken, peas sweetcorn and rice... sorted. Righto!
Soz to hear your pain is back PL, sounds almost pleuritic in nature, that sure takes you breath away, I know, I've had it!
Seems some of us here have been having puter probs, Jem, Yola, hope they are resolved now. Must admit to being very ignorant of the workings of the machine; if it goes, ok, if not .... arghhhh! like cars, same there.
BC, hope the floor is up to your OH's standard now, funny how they notice such things as this but fail to see towels on the floor, dishes in the sink and the petrol gauge on red!!!
