Up bright and early to go down the gym, then I need to pop to the shops to pick up some food.

Beautiful sunny day here so it looks like an afternoon to be spent in the garden

Having a relaxing day today after keeping my grandchildren amused yesterday....... I hadn't used a skipping rope for years!! Jamie was making himself more useful by going round the garden with a bucket collecting all the snail shells he could find.. I really enjoy having them round and Katie is at the age when she wants to help you all the time ......slows you down a bit but who cares it's nice to see them show an interest!

Good morning all,
Well after a rainy day yesterday we are really enjoying the sun today, the cats went out first thing and never looked back and I think we are taking Shila to Mabelthorpe today for a bit of sun and sea

Sunny here too but I'm not going to see much as I'm heading off back to bed. The cold has turned nasty and I have total aches and pains all over. OH is doing his usual stomping and sulking because it means he has to mind the boys AND run the house. Currently he's taken them to the birthday party Domi was scheduled to go to which means I hava quiet house.

Cats are all gathered around the computer willing me to open the door to let them out but I don't have to energy to supervise them so unfortunately they'll have to stay in. Just going to wash Myshka's eyes and then I'll get back to bed.

So sorry to hear you're feeling unwell, Yola. Hope you pick up soon.

And PL - back to work tomorrow! You must be so pleased - take it easy to start off with though ...... (old mother hen speaking!)

OH is using the new vacuum cleaner to try and dry clean at least part of the lounge carpet ...... (YES, REALLY!)

Our Italian homework includes each member of the class giving a short presentation about an aspect of Rome! I thought that sounded like a really good idea........... daft as a brush me sometimes! I have a short passage about Cinecitta gleaned from Wikipedia (a question in a Catsey quiz I thought I'd take a bit further!) and now all I have to do is translate it. I know you can use all sorts of translation stuff on the web, and even Microsoft - but I am at least going to try it the hard way first!!!! That's my afternoon spoken for I think.

Oh and by the way - I really missed the quiz last night!

Hi, ladies. Sunny, unusually warm spell...33 degrees now before lunch; this is more like July/August weather. Leia's found a cool ; (relatively!) spot on the porch with a breeze for her. I've done the marketing and checked the tomatoes and beans, all flourishing after the rains and the heat. Planning a lazy afternoon with the papers and crossword as usual.......

Yola: sending get-well vibes....
PL: try not to do too much tomorrow!
