I can feel a lump


Hi all

New mum has now been spayed (couple of weeks ago) all went fine but i can now feel quite a big lump under one of her nipples, it is quite hard and wondered is this normal or do i have a problem on my hands???

Any advice appreciated

I'd take her back to the vet I'm afraid Jules. Could simply be mastitis - my Smudge had that after having her kits and being spayed. Let's hope that's what it is - treatable with anti-bi's.

Could she have a blocked milk duct? I would run her along to the vet just for a check over for your own peace of mind.

I was going to say mastitis as well. My Lily has just had that and her kittens are only 2 weeks old A quick shot of antibiotics at the vets and an ongoing homeopathic course of treatment seems to have done the trick though

I'd definitely take her to the vets to be sure.
