What stunning colours Eileen, they look beautiful! I love the delicate lemon colour of the water lily too.. Lucky you having a free sunflower ...... some kind bird must have dropped you a seed! |

Gosh Eileen - they are stunning blooms!! I particularly like the two-tone (I'm sure that's not the correct terminology!! lol) pink and yellow glads - gorgeous!! I'll have to post some pics of my garden when the sun decides to come out in this country!!! |

Thanks all! The thing I like about these glads is that they're supposed to be cold hardy and not require digging and storing over Winter. We shall see... I suspect the sunflower seed came from the bird feeder out front; it never occurred to me to plant any of the seeds from the bird seed...may do it next year! Charlie: technically it's a bi-color... but pretty, isn't it? |

Those gladies are really lovely Eileen. Somehow they look more delicate that the rather blousey ones that are generally grown here. Do you have any trouble with earwigs? Don't know if you get them in U.S. - they love gladies over here! |
