Hello

HI guys, new to this, thought i would join as since my little puss cat lost his leg in a car accident, i have been searching the internet for advise but found it not to be very usefull. He has recovered well but the last couple of days he has been meowing out like he has been in pain. Back to the vets he went as we suspected he dicslocated he back leg but this was not the case. Have been reading about phamtom pains in the missing limb, does anyone have any experience of this? and does it ease with time?

Hello Chell, welcome to Catsey..

I'm so sorry to read that your cat has lost a leg in a road accident, how long ago was this?

I've had no experience of amputations but maybe you would like to read a thread from a member a year or so ago, her cat also lost a leg.
Cats really do adapt very well with three legs..

Re: Hello

I have no experience with this either; very sorry to hear about your little guy. How old is he? Name? I've heard about people experiencing phantom pain after an amputation, but am not aware of any info re animals. Have you done a Google? Do stick around and let us know how things are going...
