Afternoon! Persistent weather front hanging in there: same old same old...warm, humid and afternoon and evening t'storms. Definitely getting old. Usual routine here. Another sad "first tomato" story: usually the &!@#(?? squirrel gets it; this year one of my lovely, well fed birds pecked two large holes in it!!!!! I am fated not to get that first one... . It was probably the catbird, which is a fruit eater and hangs out in my garden a lot.....ah well.. Hope your English Summer weather improves a bit...strange weather this season, isn't it? |

I'm awfully late getting on here, sorry! It's been a funny old day which started at 02.15. I got woken up by a group of people noisily making their way along our road, then I heard a clunking sound, giggles, then silence. Before going to work I checked the garden wall as some of the mortar is a bit weak and I though they might have loosened a brick, no damage. It was only when I got to work and locked the car that I noticed there was no rear number-plate! That must have been the noise, them pulling it off the car! So I've had to report the vandalism and get a crime number, my stolen number-plate is now on a list somewhere just in case they use it on another car and I get accused of traffic violations that are nothing to do with me. My husband had a good look around the area but couldn't see my plate anywhere but got another one made up (it only cost £10). It's just the hassle that gets to you though isn't it? |

That's awful MrsH........why do these youngsters take so much pleasure in damaging other people's property.. In our road, smashing wing mirrors appears the be the latest past time for them.. |
