Hi everyone

I'm new to the Forum, have 1 cat called Cactus who is a CP rescue cat 5-6 years, stray. Cactus has been with us for a couple of months, had another cat previous and she was sadly killed on the road close to us, hence the older cat. Happily Cactus never seems to go out, I think she was an indoor cat at one time, but was found straying near a busy road. She was very nervous at the start, but is now doing really well, she tends to sleep a lot and is missing half a canine tooth, she had quite bad gums and the vet has since given her a clean and removed all tatar. She does suffer from a lot of sickness and I'm giving her a sensitive dry food with wet food in the morning and plain fish in the afternoon. I've just purchased some Royal Canin Sensitive wet food that she had after her operation, which she loved and I'm hoping that will make the sickness, irritable bowel stop - Anyone else tried it and does it stop the IBS? I think that's probably why her last owners decided to throw her out, poor girl!

Hello and welcome. Poor Cactus, I am pleased she has now found a loving forever home.
We have a few members here who have had cats with poorly tummies, hopefully they will be able to help you and Cactus.

Thanks Elaine

I hope so, it's really great to give a needy cat a home, they really seem to appreciate it, Cactus follows me around everywhere and as I've got the school hols. off she's really taking advantage!

Hi, welcome to you and Cactus. Super name, I had a childhood friend who shared that as a nickname. I hope you can sort the IBS - if indeed it is that. Maybe Cactus is just stressed with all that's happened to her? I'm delighted you've given her the loving home she deserves . . . and I hope you can get her tummy problems sorted soon!
