Waves Hand Vigorously Yelling Hello!Hi, everyone! Nice to meet you all. I'm (obviously) David- well technically David and my daughter Maddison- but since she can't type i do all the leg- or should that be hand- work! My daughter and i are currently cat-less, but are busy looking for a cat to own. As a younger, i had my own cat but sadly, she passed away a few years back after a good and long life of 15 years. Anyway, since we're looking for a new cat, and i love the forum life, i'm now registered.

Hello and welcome. Wish you all the best for your cat hunt.  Are yo9u looking for any specific breed or are you a moggy man? Either way I am sure you will find one to love and care for. Have you tried any of your local rescue centres? |

well... Ideally, we are looking for a Persian. I've wanted one for years, and Maddy likes their looks too, but unfortunately, i'm going to have to be realistic cost wise (oh, to be a child with no concept of money!). We're popping to a rescue home later this week. |

Hi David, lovely to have you and Maddison here (beautiful name BTW)! I have 3 persians at the moment. 2 were bought as kittens from breeders I have also had 2 rescues. Persians are often overlooked because people think they are high maintenance. Whereas the do require a bit more care than the average short-haired, non-flat faced variety  they're not actually that bad.There are several excellent Persian recsue centres - definitely one in Bristol and one in Lancs that I know of, which I'm certain would be happy to help out! There are Persian rescues too, might be worth a little more investigation. We have several persian owners here, rescued and breeder bought persians. But which ever way you go, I am sure the cat will be well loved and cared for |
