Worried About Spike


Spike didn't come in for his dinner last night, or come in for breakfast this morning.

That used to be a common thing, but not these days - especially now that he's older and it's getting colder.

Honey has been popping in and out and hanging around the garden, but no sign of Spike. We checked the outside toilet and potting shed to make sure, but to no avail. I've been calling him non-stop since yesterday afternoon.



I'll be calling him at regular intervals, but if he doesn't turn up for dinner tonight...

Meh..

I just suggested to my Mum the idea of making him an indoor cat when he turns up, so that we don't have to deal with scares like this, due to his age and the fact that he's a lot weaker than he used to be.

But she said it'd be wrong to "do that to him at his age."

How old is he Darky? My Merlin is 22 and may venture outside with us on a warm day, but not otherwise. We do not restrict him walking out - unless it's really cold or raining, there is always a door open somewhere, but he chooses not to go out.
