Who needs a hot-water bottle......when you have two big boys to keep you warm!   Over the weekend OH was away, so it was just me watching tv on the couch on Sat night. Minsky fell asleep half on my left leg, half on the couch (he's too big and my lap's too small for him to lie directly on my lap), and a minute later Darcy joined us, by lying on my right side, with his head on my lap. They were grooming each other, purring, and we sat like that for a full two hours! First time it's happened, and it was simply lovely. Sorry the photos aren't the best. Luckily I had my camera nearby, but I had to take the photos myself whilst sitting down!     It was a lovely night indeed! We watched the Timewatch Young Victoria on BBC2, then X Factor ETA: These photos were taken after they'd groomed each other. Whilst they were grooming they were both lying completely over my lap so I couldn't see it; I only realised I had my camera nearby afterwards!

 Yola, chunky monkeys is such a cute wee expression for them! And DM, yes, they're very spoilt  Not so much with food treats, but attenion-wise, definately! Minsky has even begun to tolerate being held now and 'holds on' like Darcy does, instead of sticking his paws out akwardly. I just love giving them hugs, so I'm lucky they love it too |

Thanks Angie and Mags I just have long arms Angie  As we know, if you even uncross and recross your legs with a cat on your lap, they look at you as if to say "what are you doing?!" so I didn't disturb them.I think they did enjoy me to themselves this weekend, but were happy to see OH home as well. If only one of us is home, Darcy will every hour or so, go to the front door, scratch and meow until the other comes home. He likes his wee family! |
