introduction

Hi everybody,i would just like to introduce myself to this forum,my name is kim and i have 2 cats, one called sooty aged 7 and a half years and my new kitten called leo 9 and half weeks, sooty is all black and leo is tabby/white.My other cat was 16months old alfie got run over about 3 weeks ago,we were all devasted as it is so quiet where i live but bless him he was obviously in the wrong place at the wrong time,so alfie has gone to cat heaven, that is why we got a new kitten as my 2 sons were inconsolable and it has helped them with the loss of alfie. I will post some pictures ASAP and i am looking forward to finding info on this great forum and sharing my experiences with you all,kim

Re: introduction

Hello Kim; welcome to Catsey
Poor little Alfie. It's a choice we make - give them freedom and accept that there is a risk of accident, or keep them indoors and try to make their lives as interesting as we can.

Re: introduction

It is a difficult decision to make as cats do like to go out, my older cat doesnt go out much now and when he does he doesnt venture very far,so he isnt such a worry but when it comes to my kitten going out,am not gonna encourage him to but sure he will want to at some stage, i am dreading it just the thoughts of it.
