Frost?? Lucky you! We have buckets of rain coming down. It looks windy too. Another soaking awaits up at the stables today as Domi has his riding lesson at 11. OH still unwell so I will probably have to take Sebi with me Need to make the downpayment to the chap who will be ripping my tatty old pine floor up and laying lovely oak boards . . . . it's pricey but as it's the dining room floor which is very traffic-heavy and the room where the boys spend much time playing then we need something durable as the pine just wasn't man enough (mind you it was nearly 100 years old we think)! Something light for dinner tonight as neither of us have much appetite and delicate tummies. |

Chilly and damp here too but not as bone chilling as yesterday. I've been out with Dinah, as we wimped out of walking yesterday and I don't want either of us to get cabin fever. It's dark and miserable though. Lamb casserole with pearl barley and split peas for me today. The last of 6 helpings made from neck of lamb which cost £2.32 - and I could have added extra pulses and veg and stretched it to 8 quite easily. There is really no need for people to go un-nourished. Homebase have their 10% off day today, so maybe I'll go and see if they have aything I would like to deceorate the house with for xmas. December tomorrow isn't it, so i guess I should start to get in the mood, or at least accepting. Other than that, another home alone day. I'll phone the grannies, light the fire and get back to my book. Hope you all have a nice day. |

Cold, frosty and foggy here again today, Imogen's face is a lot better this morning which I'm very relieved about-another phone call to the derm specialist tomorrow I think. OH is working all day today so not much planned, just a bit of housework although I may walk to the garden centre later if my rib's up to it! This cold weather makes deep breathing a bit painful Hope everyone enjoys the last day of November, this month seems to have gone so quickly. Lx |

Another day of wall to wall greyness here - I am beginning to feel like a mushroom! Can't remember what blue sky and sunshine look like. It's drizzly mizzly too and cold. Need to pluck up courage to go and refill the most popular of the bird feeders (black sunflower seed) as my feathered friends and that evil s******l have emptied it since yesterday morning. Yes, I can say the "C" word out loud come tomorrow! Not that it's a big thing here - no relatives left. Hope to see a few friends and neighbours over the "C" week, so cards to be done - big cut back and prune this year. It's the hardest part I think - wondering whether people are still alive! OH has already lit the fire and Merlin is asleep in front of it. The weather forecast on Countryfile makes it look as if we have another week of similar cold weather. I really wouldn't mind if it were bright too. Oh, and don't forget to watch Wallander tonight - first of three. Another author I like, Henning Mankell. My first impression is an inspired bit of casting with Kenneth Branagh. Hope I enjoy it as much as I'm looking forward to it! Keep warm peeps! |
