Sunday Thread

Hahahaha beat you all to it
Very dark, cold and raining here, just back from an evening at Emma's, supped a few drinks and watched Mama Mia twice, oh how we laughed, cried and danced and sang our wee hearts out.
Just having a b rew before retiring for the night.

Re: Sunday Thread

Morning peeps. Thank you for your thoughts and wishes yesterday. Its lovely to know your all thinking of us.

Taking the girls to Chester Zoo today to the frost fair. Hubby is staying with his mum so my parents are coming along instead to help me. There is an ice rink there and lots of festive crafts, Father Christmas will make an appearance and off course all the wonderful animals. Let's hope it stays dry.

Hope you all have a lovely Sunday whatever your doing and let's hope all the wet weather down south will ease up asap.

Take care xxxxxx

Re: Sunday Thread

Morning all!

Goodness Elaine, that must have been a good night ......... and you were still able to hit the right keys after!!

Beautiful sunny day here, quite chilly too.

We had visitors yesterday afternoon so I was unable to ice my cakes hopefully I'll be able to do it this today. Have to pop in to see an elderly neighbour too who hasn't been very well, she lives alone and unfortunately her family very rarely visit her......I think that is so sad.

Matron, hope you and your girls have a good day..

Re: Sunday Thread

OH to horseriding with the boys and to drop my Mum at our office where my brother will collect her and take her back to London. I'm wrapping presents for the boys and for staff and have started to 'construct' my tree. 3 years ago, after a couple of years of very expensive trees that shed their needles within a week I opted for an imitation tree (depsite saying I never would) and have loved it!!

BTW - are we going to have our usual 'pictures of Christmas trees' thread here? I love looking at all the beautiful trees

Re: Sunday Thread

Just about still morning!
Had a massive lie-in this morning-did too much yesterday and aggravated my rib, resulting in being unable to sleep until the early hours It's so frustrating as I have so much to do still.
Going over to OH's parents for lunch today as it's his mum's birthday which will be nice-no cooking for me! Hopefully this afternoon I'll get some more presents wrapped and cards written.
Have a good day everyone.
Lizx

Re: Sunday Thread

It was winter wonderland again early this morning but the frost soon eased and it's relatively warm now, with a weak sun trying to do something. OH's rugby was cancelled yesterday because of the o'night rain, so he's out today instead. Sunday 'lunch' at 6pm again for us!
My Mum's area was badly hit by the floods yesterday but fortunately she is on high ground -things would be very serious if her house was affected.
I've put up the decorations, such as they are, and must confess that I actually like them. I'll soon get fed up with them and want them down though.
Nothing else - have a lovely relaxing Sunday everyone.

Re: Sunday Thread

Afternoon Ladies, Sun is just coming up hre, we went to Galveston yesterday, to place called Moody Garden, they have a huge aquarium with all kinds of fish displays, I went through a tunnel, and has sharks swimming above me, unfortunately a lot of the displays were not open, they are till clearing up after the hurricane....
I saw the damage on the TV, but to see it in real life was horrendous, So many house and businesses ruined.....
Having moochy day today, going shopping to pick up bits and bobs to take back for the animals and kids...
Hope you ar all having a good day...

Re: Sunday Thread

Afternoon everyone! We have some friends coming over for tea later this afternoon, so it was major house cleaning this morning. I do panic - my mother's motto of "always have your house presentable for guests" seems like a good idea, but I am more of a laid back person domestically speaking! (Bad, aren't I?)

Then needed a quick trip to P@H as Merlin only has one tray of his new food love left. As chance would have it, I went to a different branch that was having their opening celebrations and got a further 10% off. Bought 5 boxes this time! Dear old Uncle Merlin does not have expensive tastes - but I am actually wondering whether there is anything addictive in the food - he is so eager to eat it! Whatever is in it his coat has become so silky, he has more energy and is very alert - he actually batted my hand in bed this morning trying to make me get up and feed him. It's bliss and long may it continue.
