Morning folks!

It's a rather grey cold day here with no sign of a break in the cloud...

Nothing exciting planned here, have a bit of shopping to do and indoor window cleaning.

Cassie is sound asleep next to the radiator, she tends to hibernate when it's cold..

Matron, I hope you're feeling better this morning...

Thanks for asking Mags. I'm in the mood for a fight today. Having to chase up doctors because the staff in the Nursing home when mum in law is in are incompetant with terminal life care. I'm demanding all sorts today and shall kick off if she doesn't get what I think she deserves. Its shocking. Grrr

*deep breaths* odd to do lots of Christmas stuff today and get it all done in readyness.

Cold, slightly drizzly and grey today. In the office all week as the boys are in holiday care

Things are easing up a bit with OH. He cooked a lovely roast dinner yesterday and even the kids (on the whole) were well behaved.

I had Balie downstairs yesterday - he's pretty well settled in our room now - he even popped out into the garden for a bit when the boys where out. In the evening I brought him down again as he seemed a bit low and he slept on my lap.

In the night he was being very sick and in his litter tray with a very bad tummy and this morning he was incredibly lethargic. If he's like that still tonight it will be to the vet with him tomorrow as he's certainly far from right.


Hang on in there matron, and you're right - vent your anger on those that deserve it!!

Apologies for late arrival today. I seem to have been busy thogh, if you asked, I couldn't really tell you what I've been doing
Matron - chin up. Maybe a good (but justifiable and well argued) rant will do you good
Yola - hope your furboy will be much better very soon.

I've done the ironing, been out with Dinah and been to T*sco to get some plums for this recipe for St Nicholas Pudding, which I happened to catch them making on TV yesterday. No prunes in the one I saw, so no prunes in my pudding. If it works out it may be our xmas treat - real old fashioned christmas pudding is so heavy, don't you think, especially after a big turkey meal.
3 hours steaming, so I'll let you know but don't hold your breath.

well ive dont the last of the prezzys they are all wrapped n ready. now the food shopping to do. got the meat being delivered monday.
the boys are asleep around the place some where probally on my bed.
the town was a nightmare everyone wandering around in their own little worlds. no kidding u i was ready to lump some one. grrrrrr
im concidering next week when ive got to go food shopping ill be going in the middle of the night. just have the drunks to contend with.

Afternoon all. Cloudy with a threat of rain (every day this week!), but mercifully warmer today...already 10C! Won't last; much colder tomorrow. To the other market for stuff Whole Foods doesn't carry and got more wrapping paper and scotch tape...was out of it! Must wrap today! Hoping Leia will "help" as I need a pic for the contest.....
Yola, good news about OH, bad about Bailie; hope he improves. Fingers crossed.
Give 'em hell, Matron! Sounds as if they deserve a royal chewing out.
DM, good luck with the pudding! Mags, Leia hibernates a lot in the Winter also, but she did take the air on the porch this morning before going back to sleep.
