trouble in our village

I took the dog for a walk into the village this morning to find about 30 police officers there & the road & shops all closed off. There was a stabbing & another man was run over at 1.30am. Both men are in hospital. It's such a lovely well respected area, it's a real shock!

Oh how awful, Smudgley! Violence like that can occur in the mist unexpected peaceful spots; always such a shock when it isn't in a troubled area. What a shame for the shopkeepers who lost a days business at this pre-holiday time.

OMG - scary when it happens in a nearby town, but worse when it's on your own doorstep. Hope the police find out what happened very soon.

I guess we always assume that when bad things happen and we hear it on the news, its happens to someone else? Its very scary when it happens by you.

Horrible.

Not nice
I hope the protagonists were not local - somehow it's not so bad if it's outsiders.
Hope all is calm now.

That comes as an awful shock when it's on your own doorstep so to speak .........

I hope both injured men recover soon, how awful for their families at this time of the year..

What a shock that this happened 'on your doorstep'. sadly, I think these things can happen anywhere these days.
