Holly and Toby

Have been looking after my sisters dog, Holly. She and Toby love their walks in the woods. Toby always manages to find a muddy puddle to wade into .
Got a lovely card from his owners which reads... "so glad we found you. Thankyou for giving so much care to our Toby"
I thought that was lovely.

Re: Holly and Toby

How nice that Toby's owners have shown their appreciation for what you do Elaine, that must have given you a boost and makes it all worthwhile...

Re: Holly and Toby

TBH all my clients have been wonderful, I have pressies and cards from all of them which is very nice indeed. Always nice to know you are apreciated.
I am walking Toby tomorrow and boxing day too, probably newyears day also. It's the only good walk he gets now coz his owners are elderly, one with a serious back condition and the other not long out of hospital after having surgery on her knee. Toby gets so excited when the lead comes out that he would pull them off their feet and they wouldnt be able to grab him when he has an attack of selective deafness. He's a good dog but give him an inch and he'll take the whole mile

Re: Holly and Toby

Sounds to me like you've solved all their problems regarding Toby, it must be so difficult getting older and knowing you can't exercise your dog like you used to...

Please give Toby a pat from me - I like to hear about him! Very nice to know that you are such a lifeline for Toby and his owners and that they appreciate you.

Re: Holly and Toby

A merry xmas from Toby Williams. I arrived at his home to walk him this morning and the house looked deserted. No Toby barking by the window, how odd i thought.
I knocked on the door and a strange man opened the door, said merry xmas and looked a little bewildered. I said merry xmas and asked if Toby was around for his walk? Oh the man said, yes ofcourse your the dog walker. I said I was surprised that Toby wasnt jumping at the door waiting for me. The man said oh but he is waiting for you....
Toby came grinning at me from around the corner, dressed as a chirstmas pudding
I am not a big fan of dressing up animals but i do wish i had brought my phone with me today to take a picture to show you all. Poor fella, but it was soooo funny.
I got him out of his outfit and we went for a lovely long walk.
Merry Xmas every one.

Re: Holly and Toby

I don't suppose Toby minded too much being dressed as a Christmas pudding as it was for you! Would have loved to have seen a photo!
