cat injury


hello,my cat has an inch square patch of fur missing from his neck and persists in scratching it causing it to bleed,how can i prevent him scratching the area? he will be visiting the vets tomorrow as it is becoming a concern and we don't want an infection getting in,could anyone give me any advice on preventing him from scratching and how to cover the wound please all advice is very welcome thankyou all,,,

Depending on where the wound is on his neck, a buster collar might help, the vet might give a steriod injection to take the itch out of the sore and hopefully this will help.

I'm afraid a collar is really the only option if of course it doesn't actually rub on the site of her hair loss/itch.

hi have you tried cutting the toes out of a sock and putting thaaaaat over his head! it looks funny but as long as it is a cotton sock it works verry well!
