Xena is a grumpy bunny, but starting to settle, we got her last summer, she had been dumped in a play park in Inverurie. She has been speyed now, which I think has helped, I am guessing that is why she was dumped, because she was very aggressive. Ziggy is also very aggressive, but again will settle with time. They are all in big hutches, in a large outbuilding, which had been built for dog breeding by the people who lived here before us. We have a couple of small indoor runs which they take shifts in at the moment, although the trio- Jessica, Snowy and Jess have a large indoor run all the time. They will only be able to go out on good days, because a hairy bunny gets very messy in the wet, and hard to groom. Our outdoor runs are on the verge of being unsafe now, so this years project is to build new ones, where they can stay for most of the time, except in bad weather. |

Kado, Molly and Xena are different colour, its hard to see in the photos though.. Milly and Molly are sisters and are both chinchilla coloured, Xena is wild rabbit coloured, its called agouti. Rescues often find agouti coloured buns difficult to rehome, but I think they are my fav colour. It, perhaps, comes from the fact my first bunny was a wild one we scraped off the road, and had for 9 years. |
