Fridays Daily

Morning all,

Its cold here, the suns trying to come out. The snow has all gone from yesterday morning (my snowman is still here though lol)

Not got much planned for today, other than tidy up etc.

Have a nice day.

Re: Fridays Daily

Quite a mildish day outside here. Just heading in the shower and then off to take Bess for a long walk. Don't think Milo is upto it or shall I say he will suffer for it tomorrow.

Finished off making my Bara Briths and they are slowly baking in the oven. Can't beat a lovely Welsh Bara Brith with a mug of tea

Shall potter doing jobs later and off out with my family for an indian tonight. Hubby is staying behind to babysit Poppy as we can't get a babysitter

So who has more snow this morning then?

Re: Fridays Daily

No snow here! The snow that did fall two days ago is still lying in areas where the sun can't really get to it, and it is extra super frosty and cold today (I think around -1) but no more snow thank goodness! Unless there is going to be a huge snow fall that snows me in from work, i'd rather it stayed away altogether as it just makes walking to work treacherous!

Didn't have the best start to the day as was arguing with OH. I woke up feeling happy, was getting ready for work singing to myself and suchlike, but he definately got out the wrong side of the bed and was walking around with a stormy face (quite unlike him!) I asked if he would mind cleaning out the litter trays (happens to be what we fell out about last time), but this is after a conversation the night before where I said the amount he was helping me in the morning had fallen and as a result I'd been 5 mins late for work everyday this week as I was doing all the things needing done in the mornign (feeding cats, cleaning trays, making bed etc.) and he agreed. So i wasn't 'nagging', just asking nicely but he was like "I'm not in th emood for this!" I really wasn't impressed. I tried to ignore him as he was in a bad mood, but then he started cleaning them and I could hear him bashing about and half way through he yelled out "oh for F**KS SAKE!" which I was really not impressed with. My lovely, sunny Friday morning had been slightly ruined, so I couldn't help but yell back "well don't do it then and just go off to work!" but he didnt like the fact I'd yelled back *sigh* I'm still feeling quite happy, I think because it's Friday and sunny, but I'm more annoyed than anything at OH for being quite so angry and aggresive. There really is no need to yell out such cussing first thing, over something that doesnt warrant it! Anyway, sorry, rant over. I know we fell out last time about the litter trays, so I won't keep going on about it!

Was planning to go to an art exhibition opening this evening, a friend's, with OH but really not sure if I want to spend all evening with him after how he behaved. So we'll see what happens.

Went to my other new dance class for hte first time last night and loved it! It was Latin style dancing, very Shakira-esque, with lots of foot work and hip twisting and grooving rhythms. It was a guy who took the class, and I was wondering how he would be able to teach some 'feminine' moves with hips and suchlike, but my goodness that man could shake his tooshie!! It was mesmerising! One woman muttered to me "I'm so glad you're behind him this week, last week I was in your place and I just kept thinking "My poor husband!!" " ! So can't wait to get back next week.

Hope everyone has a good day, and is looking forward to the weekend!

Re: Fridays Daily

It's horrible when an arguement starts of the day isn't it meep. I hope you discuss it a bit more calmly with OH tonight.

It's intermitently snowing and raining here today. The cleaner couldn't get over yesterday so I'm doing a few bits aided by Sebi who loves dragging the dyson around. I'm going to have to get him a junior one . . . Domi had one which he played with so much he broke!!

Am toying with going out but only very half-heartedly. Seb's happy playing in the house so we'll see what the weather brings a little later.

A junior Dyson?! That's amazing and so cool. I would have loved one when I was wee

Yes, fights in the morning are awful. I'm hoping OH will approach me about it this evening, but he's notorious for "ignoring hte problem and hoping it will go away" which is the total opposite of what I like

Re: Fridays Daily

Another nasty mucky old morning.
Rain in the night, so everywhere is green again, but there is an icy wind with flakes of snow at times and great globs of heavy sleet at others. I just hope we get a real summer this year, to make amends.

Meep. Ho hum. If there's a perfect man out there I haven't met him yet. Bit like the situation for perfect women and, indeed, perfect relationships, where you read each others minds and moods without a word being spoken.... 10 hours? 10 days? Enough! I'm not setting myself up as an agony aunt or relationship guru.

Has anyone any plans for the weekend? None here, other than grilled trout etc for tonight and pot-roast brisket in beer for Sunday. And some wine! My January 'detox' is over but I am hoping to stick to booze-free Monday - Thursdays, for the sake of my midriff, rather than my liver. It's such an easy, pleasant, way to take in tons of calories.

Have a pleasant, warm, day everyone

Re: Fridays Daily

DM, I hear you on the call for a proper summer! The winter seems to have gone on far too long this year, longer than normal, and I think it's because we haven't had a proper dose of sunshine in a long time.

And thanks for advice on relationships, I remembe your 10 hours, 10 days rule from my last rant about OH I won't set you up as the agony aunt, but that piece of advice really helped. The thing is with "nobody's perfect", you have to start deciding which imperfections you're happy to live with in your friends, and partner, and which you aren't...

Is it petty to dislike swearing so much?!

Exactly. Your life, you have to live it.
Be happy - you're a long time dead

Meep - I hate arguments too. Really upsets me to the pit of my stomach. Let's hope he sees the error of his ways and makes it up to you later.
