Thanx Mags, yes I was busy making myself a few friends but then got scared of them at night coz they were watching me through the conservatory doors
I also jumped out of my skin one night watching telly, I thought there was some one looking in the window at me but it turned out to be my own reflection
And dont even ask me about the night I frightened Pat when she was on the phone

Have you been gone somewhere

Only joking, nice to have you back. Must admit, your story about the footsteps had me in stitches

Re: Hi honeys, I'm home

Pat was on the phone one evening and I took the phone outside so i could have a fag while chatting.
I heard noises at the top of the garden, in the woods. I kept telling pat to shhh but you know pat, she just keeps blethering on and on
Anyway, turned out there were deer in the garden but just as i could make them out, I heard a dog barking very close to them . The deer ran and then i heard footsteps coming down the garden at the other side of one of the walled garden parts
I pannicked and ran into the house, locking the doors behind me, all the time whispering to Pat that some one was in the garden, she was telling me to call the police.
Instead I called Helen, who lives in the cottage just down the road a little.
She came round in her car with a big torch. Told her what happened and she said lets go look
What???? I was cacking my pants
Any way, long story short, there is another house over the back of the woods and it must have been the guy out with his dog. Every thing sounds so much closer and clearer in the middle of no where.
Helen laughed and told me I was such a townie, we had tea and she left.
