First Lambs


Our first lambs were born yesterday. Twins and a single.

Here are the twins. Boy and Girl. Good size, up and feeding, This is mums first so she is doing really well.











Here is the single, a Boy. We eventually had to assist Mum about midnight last night. This boy is big, she would never have managed alone. He is not feedin by himself yet. Tongue was quite swollen - he'll get there tomorrow probably.







We have one more due to lamb tomorrow or Tuesday. That will be us until mid April when we will be very busy with the main flock.

Will post some more pics of them when they are a bit bigger. They will be kept inside for a while as it is cold here. Maybe in a week or so, weather allowing, they'll get out for a bit during the day.

Thanks Moli - they are real wee sweeties. Their mums have had a lot of handling so they are so laid back, it's nice to get close to the babies.

Aw, baby lambingtons! Lambing has started to pick up here although soon we'll have the trailers queuing in the carpark
