Soggy Tuesday

Is it Friday 13th?

We have a leaking tap in the bathroom, so I am changing pots underneath the drip and have to empty it between trying to contact the plumber.
Chester went out at 6.30 (and first drip-pot change) and hasn't been seen since Stupid boy
It's piddling with rain

How does that song go? "Things can only get better ....."

Re: Soggy Tuesday

I'm sorry to hear your having a bad start to the morning. It's not raining here yet but the sky looks heavy so it's only a matter of time. Already been out with the dogs and I have to stay in this morning waiting for a Sainsbury's delivery (So much better than Tesco) and Next to deliver Poppy's wardrobe. Her room was decorated last week and the other furniture has arrived so I may tackle the self assembly on that this evening

Need to go to Boot's the chemist to get some headlice deterrent and to get Poppy's feet measured. Spag bol for tea and then taxi service for Millie to fun club this evening. It's all go today and all for the kids.

Glass of wine with Mistress's tonight. I so love that programme

Re: Soggy Tuesday

Sounds like it's a very soggy Tuesday, between leaks and rain. It's really cold here, and damp. Apparently snow is forecast?!

Weekend plans of friends coming to stay have been rescheduled for a later weekend so it seems this weekend will be made up of shopping (a denim jacket is my next wish-list item), buying an antique mirror for the living room and the de-fur-athon! I know it's only Tuesday but I'm quite looking forward to the weekend already.

Will be tuning into Supersize vs Superskinny (always interesting in a morbid curiostiy way), and then the Horizon programme on "What's the Problem with Nudity?" I'll be interested to see what they hypothosise!

Hope everyone has a good day

Re: Soggy Tuesday

Still dry here - but getting increasingly more overcast. I hope the rain holds off as I have my nice new LK Bennett suede pumps on . . . I too have heard that snow is forecast for later this week - yikes I was hoping we'd had all the winter weather we were going to have.

Today brings nothing special; got to chase up my shed bench which didn't arrive with the rest of the shed last week. I only noticed when I went down there on Sunday (trust OH not to notice and raise it)!

Ooops - ignore comment above, I see big spashes of water on the window now

Re: Soggy Tuesday

I agree Nat, I just am always amazed at the different mindsets of people. I have to say the Chinese girl who was on last week really did my head in as she just seemed like such an air-head, and the way she talked was as if she was always asking a question? because her voice went up at the end?

The one a few weeks back with the marathon runner who hardly ate anything was scary at first, but it was wonderful to see her make a breakthrough and realise she had to eat more.

Also, I love the female presenter and all the things she gets up to in L.A. I couldn't stop laughing at "carb face". Now I come into work and look at my colleague and say "ewww sorry love you've got major carb face going on!" and we both crack up (I'm not actually being mean, it's sarcasm )

Re: Soggy Tuesday

Painful Tuesday for me.
My knee is very sore and I'm having real trouble just pottering around. The RA has led to quite a lot of inflammation at times and there seems to be some actual joint damage now. I had an op a few years ago to help relieve it but now it looks like the problem has recurred. I can see me needing a joint replacement eventually. So, no dog walking in the woods for me today, hope Morgan will forgive me! I think a day of resting up is called for and hope things are better tomorrow as we have dog club on Wednesdays.

Meep - Thank goodness it wasn't just me that thought the chinese girl was awful. She irritated the hell out of me. I loved the DJ guy from last week. It's amazing how food controls people lives in different ways. The LA presenter is so funny although I do think her fat fighters from South Wales need a kick up their backside
