What great pics.....they're adorable Tink!

Love the hammock shot and the last one with the tongue out!

They look quite big in your photos, do you know what length they are?

Yes, they do look as if they have been together for ever, don't they? Are you just very lucky that they get on so well together, Tink, or do ferrets generally like each other?

Great photos.

I haven't measured them in a long time but generally most are 12-18 inches in length not including the tail. Baby Bear is a BIG boy though so I wouldn't be surprised if he was longer than that He was bred "Real Canadian" which have a tendency for bigger ferrets.

Great photos.
Well, it's a toss up.
It depends if there are dominance issues.
Usually, when a new ferret is introduced to a group they have to establish their pecking order. The way they do this is scruff the neck of the ferret and drag it like it's mother would. It can look nervewracking for the owner but it must be done to establish peace in the group and as long as there is no blood or scared poop/pee then you should sit back and let them work it out. They are much tougher than they seem and most of the time no harm is being done.
Some ferrets are very happy go lucky and will see another and just present the attitude of "hey you're new here, let me show you around?" or "wanna play?" while others may feel they need to show they have seniority.
There has also been a lot of owners who have noticed there's a difference of the sexes. Boys tend to be more laid back. Intro of boys to boys is very high success rate. Boys to girls medium success rate. Girls to girls more people report a dominance issue but of course there are always exceptions. From talking to others, girls seem to rule the roost more and even boss the boys around. They seem to have more of an "attitude" and less cuddly than the boys but of course again there are exceptions and this is just based on personal experience of owners.
For this reason I will not in the future introduce another girl to my business (the name for a group of ferrets). I'm not sure if I got lucky or it is the fact that I had two boys to introduce her to.
Monkey did the scruff and drag to establish dominance and she readily accepted this. Baby Bear is in his only little world and couldn't give a hoot about pecking order
