Morning all, I'm up but not dressed yet (i'm allowed, its my 1st day off in 2 weeks hehe)

Ive not been out but its sunny and feels like Spring out side, I cant wait for it to become Summer, hope we get a proper one this year what with all the snow we've had.

Not got anythin planned for today, just relaxing. Will have a mooch on Amazon or ebay see if there's something for me to buy lol.

Enjoy your day all.

It's a nice day here too. I'm just about to take the dog out and do some 'bloodhounding' on the way back, then another swathe of fliers and posters, cards in the petshop and vet etc. Cats Protection Fayre tomorrow, so I'll put the details down for them to advertise too.
Back later

Re: Spring is in the air for a Friday

Hola amigas! It's not snowing any more, and the sun's out. It's supposed to be 9C tomorrow! But heavy rain. Not so good for shopping...

This morning Darcy managed to run full pelt into my leg He was hiding under the table and as I walked past he charged out and was, I guess, trying to swerve round me but it happened so quickly, I was walking and he ran for a space that should have been empty but my leg was there, so he crashed his wee head into my shin bone I think he's ok, he just stopped meowing and running around. He still chased his ball and rubbed up again the table happily, but just didnt want me to get to close to him. I tried telling him he was the one that ran into my leg Dear me. Silly boy.

DM - good luck with the flyering. I really hope Chester shows up today, fingers and toes crossed for you.

Hope everyone has a lovely Friday and a good weekend.

Re: Spring is in the air for a Friday

The sun is glorious today but finally the winter bugs have finally caught up with me and I have Man Flu. Throat is like a cheese grater, have temperture and my head is about to explode.

Have taken the dogs in the car to the beach so that they could have a gallop whilst I did very little. Need to clean the car gently and potter about. Millie has a concert this afternoon celebrating Welsh week. I shall hide at the back in my duffle coat and sniff quietly.

i'm doing nothing later and shall be in bed by 7

Re: Spring is in the air for a Friday

Certainly feels Spring like here - blue sky, sunny, daffs out and feeling warm in the sunshine. Seems one good day, one bad day this week.

DM - do hope your flyers do the trick. Wish we could teach our cats to read, they might just help with the search. I wish you the best possible luck.

Now Natalie - a lady CAN'T get Man Flu - surely??? Ladies get proper flu and I do hope you can shake it off quickly, like a proper lady!

Have a wonderful day everyone. It is especially sunny for me today as Merlin continues to eat his food - he had a walk about outside in the sun this morning and looked good. And today WAS the day when .............. so glad it's not going to happen today.

Re: Spring is in the air for a Friday

It is certainly very springlike. On our walk the rookery was absolutely buzzing with raucous birds swooping down into the wood to pick up dried leaves, twigs etc - their nests can't be terribly comfortable! - thay were swooping around in all directions - one almost felt that a bit of Air Traffic Control was needed
I noticed one daffodil in the bank in full flower, and dandelions and celandine and one little clump of brave primroses. I'm sure I once knew why so many spring flowers are yellow ... is it because they rely on insect pollination and the colour is attractive?

Re: Spring is in the air for a Friday

It's bright but very cold here. Walking through town (fighting past the shell-suiters with their pinched faces waiting outside the magistrates court) I felt full of the joys of spring! The street cleaners were out in force tidying up and crocuses and daffs were everywhere AND the sun was shining My daffodils are in full flower in the front garden and my hydrangeas are putting out leaves

Sebi and I have run some errands in town. I then removed all the soggy cat fur from my conifer as the birds studiously igorned it. Himself has just got over a tantrum about not eating mash and tuna mayo (I ate it) and he's about to pitch into another one as I won't put on a DVD for him ~ no dinner; no DVD

Off shortly to the wood yard to get some treated timber so OH can start making up a few raised beds in anticipation of my artichokes (globe and jerusalem) and my soft fruits arriving hopefully soon.

Re: Spring is in the air for a Friday

Feels like Spring is coming here also, up to 10 degrees now and even warmer for the weekend! The elusive snowdrops popped up finally and are blooming, also the yellow crocus; tulip and daffodil foliage emerging. I'm still wearing long johns though, "ne'er cast a clout till May be out..."

No news here otherwise, all quiet and peaceful.

Natalie, hope you feel better soon; DM. still praying; Angie. hug to precious Merlin!
Meep, buenas dias, amiga, como esta?

Have a good day!

Re: Spring is in the air for a Friday

Just thought I should ask for an evening pass tonight! OH and I are going out for dinner with old friends and leaving MIL at home alone (well she will have Merlin for company).

So I won't be Catseying this evening, but will catch up tomorrow. Have a great evening everyone, whatever you are up to! I'm signing off now.
