Saturday daily

hi all. We have lots of cat activity going on today, including the arrival of 3 Lindee Lu pens for the branch. yah! (Not coming to my house) Will post about it all later. I have to take my daughter and her friends to Merry Hill today as they want to go shopping without any grown-ups around They are 11. I'm not sure it's a good idea, but she wrote me a note asking
"Can I go to Merry Hill on Saturday please"
"Will any adults be going" I wrote back
"No but I am getting more independant now" she wrote......
We discussed it and decided she can go, but I will be worried about her all day. They will only stay in the mall, they are very sensible & will be having lunch there.
I have plenty of things to do today, inside and out so should get on with my jobs really, but maybe another coffee first.

Re: Saturday daily

It's very stressy each time our children do something new for the first time.
Just keep breathing Smudgley - you're doing the right thing. Being independent and, sometimes, making our own mistakes, is how we become rounded adults.

It's a nice day so I'm heading off early to the allotment. Back later.
Hope you all have a good day

Re: Saturday daily

I am terrified of my daughter going out to the shops and she is 15 in two weeks time.... I should be getting better at this parent lark by now! I am constantly worried about boys hanging around.... once you get over the worry of one thing.. something else crops up!!!

I am off out shopping myself today for the first time in I dont know how long.... meeting up with a friend for a girly day at the shops.

Have a good day all.

Re: Saturday daily

It's a lovely day - real Spring with blue sky and fluffy white clouds. A little too much wind to call it warm but very very pleasant. It's terribly tempting gardening weather - just ask my back! I stayed at the allotment far too long, mostly working but doing a good degree of socialising too.
Very quiet on Catsey - must be Saturday!

It's a beautiful day here too! I've spent most of the afternoon in the garden and enjoyed my first outdoors cuppa of the year in the lovely warm sunshine with Cassie curled up beside my chair.. Has anyone noticed the huge bees that are around lately ........they're whoppers! Just hope Cassie doesn't try to catch one

Re: Saturday daily

Indeed, the usual quiet Saturday! Everyone out shopping or gardening, I daresay. Still gloomy, dank and only 3 degrees; not the sort of weather that makes you want to garden. Skipped the library today as I have my copy of Suite Francaise for the Book Club, did Sunday's shopping today as the forecast is for a cold all day rain. I'm like my cats....hate to go out in it if it can be avoided. That's all my dull news. Hope all are enjoying whatever they're doing, and will come on later and post about it!

Re: Saturday daily

It was their mouths, and it was VERY scary! I called the vet the first time, and he asked about symptoms of an allergic reaction, and decided Su-king didn't need to be seen. So just watched Sultan, and he too was OK. But their faces were swollen and obviously sore, they kept pawing the swelling, and neither ate very well. But everything was back to normal the next morning. And both learned their lesson....if it buzzes, let it be! None of the girls ever tried to catch one ....
