Tuesday chat

No daily thread? At 10.50? Lazy lot!

Another gorgeous day. I've been out through the woods with just a thin cotton jersey top and a down bodywarmer. - perfectly comfortable. I'm going to have to change my footwear from trainers with socks to clogs without socks soon - it's becoming uncomfortable. I find my comfort level with/without socks is the best indicator of temperature
Have just set the fire though, ready for tonight. Cloudless skies may mean great daytime temperatures but the nights are very chilly; there was a light ground frost last night.
The woods were buzzing with activity - birds, insects, squirrels. The road we take to the woods is above the field next to it (which today was full of horses, kipping in the warmth, lips relaxed and floppy, lots of big teeth! ) and the bank is riddled with rabbit holes. The bunnies were out sunning themselves too, so it was like we were walking with an honour guard of rabbits, one every yard or two

Two weeks since Chess went.

Re: Tuesday chat

Hello, I thought I was late but I'm only second on!
Hi DM, I still have hope in my heart for lil Chester,
It's glorious he today, such a shame I have to go to work this pm. I've stripped beds and opened all the windows, you can smell Spring in the air... fab.
Funny you should say about sock wearing as a weather gauge, I do the same with lettuce. It's lettuce weather today, any hint of cold/rain and it rots in the fridge but , no, today is def. lettuce weather.

Sat indoors at work, but can see the sun it out - lucky you if you are out. That walk sounds great DM - love to see all the wild bunnies... you should take a camera for your walks.

Nothing to report here, have a good day all.

Re: Tuesday chat

I'm in the office too. Door open though to let the sights and smells of spring in! We've just been to look at another school for the Sept 2010 boys' move. This one was very good but just really reinforces the fact that I think we've made the right choice for the one we have them down for.

Not much else to report here really. Would rather be out digging the allotment but bills must be paid!

Re: Tuesday chat

Good Afternoon everyone!
I've been rushed off my feet all day.

I currently have 8 adoptions under way so I'm forever on the phone or sending an email, in fact I was doing both at the same time this morning, how's that for multi-tasking!

Looking forward to a day off tomorrow before the monthly welfare meeting on Thurs.

Happy St. Patrick's Day, all! The weather's still gloomy and chilly, 5 degrees and no sight of the sun; luck of the Irish not working today. Tomorrow's supposed to be sunny and much warmer. I went to the market in a vivid green pair of sweat pants in honor of the day; clashed a bit with the red jacket and turquoise tote bag, but I didn't care! Quiet here, no news. I'm fixing Kung Pao chicken for dinner.

DM, still sending vibes for Chester ..

Enjoy your sunshiney weather, all!
