Thursday thread

I'm the early bird today!
Making a start before a day on the community rounds.
Lovely day to be out and about tho. The early mist is clearing off and it's going to be another sunny spring day.

Posh has found a sunny windowsill and settled down to observe and snooze as the mood takes her. She has all the house to wander in and fresh food and water to imbibe at will... what a life

OH has gone off to a hosp. appointment regarding his knee. He had an arthroscopy about 18 months ago, may need a knee replacement in the future so just a check for now to assess wear and tear. He copes well enough but it has worsened. Will have to see what they say.

Have a lovely bright day

Re: Thursday thread

Morning PP, morning all, another lovely sunny morning - won't we miss this when it goes?
My m-i-l had a new knee about 5 years ago at the age of 83 or 4 and hasn't looked back since. Amazing, isn't it?
I'm off for a snoop around Homebase soon, to see if they have anything exciting in the garden section. I doubt it - I don't find their garden things terribly good - but I haven't got a garden centre or nursery in walking distance.
Hope everyone has a lovely day and that all cats are fit and fine.

Re: Thursday thread

Morning! All well here. A stressful morning with both boys playing up and OH moaning about work stuff from the moment I opened my eyes this morning. As a result I'm feeling angry at myself for loosing temper with little ones and furious at OH for creating the tension in the first place.

Still, the sun is shining so not all is bad.

DM - Homebase was very good once upon a time but I find the choice and quality of things there, especially plants is poor now.

Re: Thursday thread

Morning all!

It's another beautiful sunny day here. Not quite clear blue skies, there's a general haze of light white cloud but it's sunny enough for me And I'm having a working lunch later at a lovely restaurant which will make the day go faster, be very lovely and sociable, be full of scrummy yummy food and generally nice! Also dance class later, always puts me in a good mood although it means I shouldn't eat too much as most of the dance is very Shakira-esque and involves the belly!

The boys were in an iffy mood this morning. Darcy was sick after breakfast (greedy boy) and then managed to open the kitchen cupboard and begin treat-hunting a grand total of 5 times as I rushed around trying to get ready. Usually he gives up after one go. I think it was more for attention. They do get so upset when we go to work sometimes, but other times they're asleep and barely bat an eyelid when we go. I'm sure the sun will keep them happy today

PP - I hope your OH's knee operation goes well, sounds like it will work a treat!

DM - have fun at homebase! I'd probably come away with 5 new types of plant

Yola - sorry about the stressful start to the day I hope it does improve! Enjoy a full hour of lunch in the sun to yourself.

Re: Thursday thread

Morning everyone!

It's a lovely sunny day here as well, I have just let the kittens out into a run in the front garden so they can get a bit of sunshine.

I nearly put a pair of shorts on this morning it was then warm but then realised that my legs are covered in scratches from giving the kittens eye drops yesterday so stuck with jeans instead.

I have quite a quiet, relaxed day today which makes a nice change. I have an animal welfare meeting later on with the RSPCA but until then my time is my own and I plan to enjoy it by doing nothing!

Hope you all have a nice day.

Re: Thursday thread

All fine and fit here too. Sun early and 13 degrees, overcast now with rain on the way and much cooler. Ah, Spring in Washington ...shorts one day, long johns the next! This is my bi-weekly grocery delivery day, so no marketing; slept in and planning a lazy do-noting day.

Meep, oh that Darcy, he and Leia are a pair, aren't they?! Donna, what a shame about the sick leave; hope you feel better soon. PP, amazing what they can do now with replacement surgery: a friend had a hip replacement and you wouldn't believe the change in her! Yola, hope the day improves for you! Rockmaiden, I'm emulating you...do nothing day! DM, hope you manage to find something of interest.

The weekend nears!
