Springy Saturday

It's blue skies and fluffy clouds here, but I dont trust it quite yet! I think its cold out, so a fleece is in order.
Off on my community calls today, so need to fill the tank up. prices are starting to creep up over the £1 a litre again for diesel.

Loved the stage show of Mary Poppins last night, the production was excellent. Got all enthusiastic with the songs and its very different from the film but in a nice way.

My magnolia tree is all in bud, should be a good show this year, if the frost keeps away.

SEE YOU LATER. X

Re: Springy Saturday

Morning all, heavy rain showers here. Have washed all the dog beds from the van, which are now drying on the radiators. I ache all down my left side after yesterdays swamp beast incident but I'll live.
Bought new litter trays last week, so off to change them all soon and clean out the hammy tank. Then a bit of house work to do before settling down to read. Books are piling up here and i havent had a chance to get into them.
Also need to have a look for a new dog crate for the van.
Have a good day all.

Re: Springy Saturday

Dry and bright but with a very chilly wind here too. Fingers crossed for magnolia all around the country - I do hope they survive any cold weather; they are so beautiful pink and so very sad brown and raggy.
Off to water the plants in the polytunnel, buy some dog food and .... well, who knows?
I'll be back this aftie if there's anyone around to chat with then
have a good day

Re: Springy Saturday

Hi, all. Dank and drizzly here, up to 10 degrees but so damp it doesn't feel that warm. Skipped the library run, can pick up my holds Monday instead. Will probably stay indoors all day messing about and playing on the computer. Need to order a few things. Leia was a bit peckish yesterday, but seems fine now and eating well, unnecessary worry apparently.

DM, I'll be here this afternoon if there's anyone to chat with...slow Saturdays! Elaine, glad you don't feel too awful after the spill yesterday. And hope everyone's magnolias don't freeze!

Remember to change your clocks for Summer time ...I'll be back to 5 hours difference instead of four.

Re: Springy Saturday

Hi All - very cold and a raw wind here today. Started to repoint the spaces between the bricks on the back steps but had to give up as it was soooooooo cold. Having an afternoon in with some soup and then getting ready to go to an 80th birthday tea tonight.

My magnolia has no buds - never has, think I'll need to rethink its position.

Re: Springy Saturday

Started off okay here, but we have just got back from walking the dogs and it was cold with an icy biting wind.

My son Adam came back from uni today for Easter, haven't seen him since Christmas, so lovely to have him home. We went out with some fellow dog owners and hounds for a delicious meal at a garden centre near Melton Mowbray. Excellent food, a bit pricey but home cooked and locally sourced produce.

Re: Springy Saturday

Not been to clever here today again it has been very windy and rainy, we did go out to get some wood to put up some different levels of walkways in the cat pen but when we tried to put them up we had to give up as it was just to cold.
So I came in and cleaned out the fish tank, it was in need of a good clean anyway.
We have 2 Magnolias that are in bud so I am just keeping my fingers crossed that they survive this cold weather.
