Anti-freezeAnother warning of the danger of anti-freeze to cats. Unfortunately it appears that several cats have been poisoned in the Bristol area - see here - Be aware ...... if your cat is displaying symptoms including vomiting, not eating, lethargy, or seizures, contact your vet immediately.

Anti-freeze is very sweet tasting & can kill cats & dogs easily. I ahve heard that burglars used to coat meat in antifreeze & throw to guard dogs when breaking in. |

When my Frankie died, the vet said he thought the cat had had anti freeze. I lived on the beach then, in the summer, why would anyone have antifreeze? It caused kidney failure in the end. I am also fairly sure there was a wine producing country (Germany? Austria? Not sure at all), that used anti freeze to sweeten its white wines one year.. caused no end of trouble. |

Fortunately Cassie doesn't stay outdoors for long at this time of the year and she doesn't wander far in the summer either. |
