Summertime Sunday

Good morning - welcome to summer! We had a light frost - I do hope all your magnolias are alright.
The forecast is bright but still with the cold wind; however, things are looking good for the upcoming week! Hurrah!
I'm on my own till about 5pm. No great plans for the day though. I'll take Dinah out for a nice long walk in the woods, once the day has warmed up a bit, and I have lamb shanks to cook for supper but not much else.

Re: Summertime Sunday

Good Morning Things are good here for a change.

I am getting back on track with some CP stuff today.

I'm taking Mom to the shop for a bit of grocery (She doesn't drive & Dads not well enough to yet)

Dad is getting better each day though.

Got to do a few loads of washing and tidy up today.

John has gone to a fishing contest. He has won the winter league and this is the big one-off final where they have a bit of a celebration afterwards & the awards etc. He has a payout to come (not sure how much) but it will be very welcome.

THe sun is shining, what more could we ask for.

Re: Summertime Sunday

I think it will turn into a really nice day (must remember this would have been 9.30 last week). The sun is bright and warm and the wind has disappeared. Hurrah!
Dinah and I saw exactly no-one on our walk. Lazy people!

Re: Summertime Sunday

Afternnon all, although its morning here, sun is just coming up....I keep seeing all kinds of weird and wondeful things, one being a little sandy coloured lizard type thing yesterday, it was climbing a tree near to the apartment...I will have to ask DM...The birds over here are beautiful, sound like parrots some of them, and all the flowers are out...
Not sure what we are doing today..Making plans to go away for next weekend, Hubby fancies San Antanio....Just have to play it by ear...
Good to hear all poorly peple and furbabies are feeling better...

Re: Summertime Sunday

Hi, all! Morning started out damp and foggy, rain is over for now and sun's trying to come out, although thunderstorms are predicted for afternoon. 14 degrees here, nicer in Houston where Moli is. Did a market run and planning a lazy afternoon with papers and crossword.
Not sure about the lizard, Moli: what color? Length?

Enjoy the extra daylight this evening!
