Boring Monday

Hi all.

I was nearly late for work again this morning. I woke up at 5.50 (thought omg!!!) then shot up out of bed. It took me 5 mins to get ready and 5 mins to get to work, bang on 6am lol. (I need to get to bed earlier!)

Now im home and gonna rest lol.

Its cloudy here but bright, think its gonna rain later on.

I'll be having a quiet morning, getting over the loud party last night, my ears are still buzzing

Work begins for me at 1:30 so time to get lunch ready and do a bit of laundry.

It's not too bad here, weather wise, though rain is forecast for later. We've been up ages. OH was due to pick up a US friend from Heathrow at 9ish and ferry him to his destination, so he got up and dressed about 6.15. Then he read his messages ..... Friend missed his connection in NY and won't be here till 9 tonight! And he'll still be on ES time and will be chatting at 11 when he gets here, to overnight before going on to his destination; it'll seem like afternoon tea-time to him. Ho hum. Never mind, it'll be nice to see him - don't think we've seen each other since we were last in New England 5 years ago.
OH is cross because he ran over a big pothole and got an irreparable puncture. Tyre is only 4000 miles old and will cost £120! Phone calls between chez nous and the claims department of the Highways Department ...
Right - must go and dust the guest bedroom!

Gloomy all day rain here but not too chilly, 15 C; cold front due tomorrow, furnace will be back on, I suspect. I dislike going out in the rain if I can avoid it, as you know, so had a nice lie-in and am just pottering around. The library's computer is down, have been trying since last night to place two holds (the new J. Kellerman and another Judi Picault); very frustrating. So absolutely no news here. Leia was uncooperative at the Easter photo contest shoot....so last night she fished the styrofoam egg out of the basket and was playing with it...and of course stopped as soon as I grabbed the camera... can't win, can you?
