Torties are almost 100% female, as the gene is sex linked, The rare male does appear, but is almost always sterile. I've never met any ginger females, but know they do exist. |

Our Candy is mainly ginger, she has white toes and a small white bib. We have 3 ginger boys, (did have 4) and they were all very gentle, Candy on the other hand is a firecracker. |

DM is right about torties, they are always female. Sex linked colour gene. Males have been seen, but are extremely rare & are a genetic mystery and are sterile. I have seen several all ginger females. They are not as rare as people think. |
