Well it's raining here too and a bit nippy compared with the nice, warm weather we've been having lately. I'm going to be a bit Pollyanna-ish though and be thankful that we got a good lot of gardening done last week, (moved a couple of shrubs, planted a few new perennials and dahlias) and this rain is exactly what we need to settle things into their new homes! Yesterday was so lovely that even the normally reclusive Molly came out from under the spare bed and wandered around the garden for a while, couldn't help noticing how saggy her belly has become, however, not a good look on a young girl! Today we woke up to discover that the dog was sick in the hall overnight and seems a little subdued now. I'll keep an eye on him obviously, but I'm sure he's ok really, just one of those charming aspects of sharing your home with animals. Hope your Monday is good to you! |

It's a wet one here too - I agree with MrsH that it will be good for the gardens. Not so good for the blossom trees though. It's amazing how often the lashing rain or high winds come along to ruin the displays. Glad P!nk was good Jane. I can imagine she would put on a good show and she seems an OK person too. I saw her with the stray dogs on Paul O'Grady's show one day and she was very natural with them. No news here. I will (finally) finish unpacking today. Naughty me - it is so much less exciting taking it all back out of the suitcase and consequently becomes a long-lasting chore, compared with the excitement of quickly putting it in before you go away! We had a partial insight into how Chester kept himself alive yesterday. A spider broke cover and scuttled across the hall (Yes, I was suprised too - A spider in my cleaner than clean, tidier than tidy house!) Chester spotted, stopped, snaffled and swallowed it in a microsecond! I suspect that was as large a meal as he had, unless he was able to scavenge bins. Anyway, he continues to do well. Have a good day - keep dry |

Morning. It's wet and windy here too. Back in the office just trying to get through stuff. I'm feeling really peckish at the moment but will have to control myself until lunchtime. Glad Pink was good Jane - it's a while since I've been to a live gig, lucky you it sounds like it was a good one! |

Cold, wet and windy here too! What a change from yesterday. The chap who was coming to start work on our outside seating area phoned to say he wouldn't come - no good laying edging etc. in the wet. The rain is good for all the plants that have been uprooted and put temporarily in pots. Even the poppies seem to be picking up a bit, I really thought they were goners! Kizzy has retreated behind the 2 drawer filing cabinet again this morning. She is such a funny little girl - she could be nice and snug on her bed (or ours). Her bed is right by the radiator, which is on for a couple of hours! Wonder whether she'll eat spiders - I haven't seen her with a spider yet. She likes woodlice! Follows them with her nose, but doesn't touch them. Neither Merlin nor Smudge took any notice of spiders - so it would be quite nice to be able to call on Kizzy for protection!!! Unless you fancy hiring Chester out, DM? Glad you enjoyed your concert Janey! Do hope you managed to get some sleep. Some laundry and tidying up today. |
