Sunny Saturday

What a lovely day Although my head is a little sore.. went out last night and had only THREE drinks and I feel a little headachey today Hardly drink these days due to my mysterious illness so three drinks obviously affected me

Well once the cobwebs in my head have gone I am going to try to tidy my garden.. think it is a three day weekend project Also need to buy a bale of hay so the car will get covered and look like a field again, also need to buy food but lost my bank card so need to work out how I am going to do that!

Well have a good day everyone..

It's a gardening day/weekend here too I think.

Re: Sunny Saturday

The sun is struggling to get a look in here at the mo. I'm sure it will break thru soon tho. Hope to go out later and get some sun on my bones, this cold has got me feeling really shivery.

The back garden, mostly patio, is being redone in the Summer so no point in getting the pots done. Does look a bit of a mess tho so for shame's sake Ill get around to a bit of a tidy up.

As this weekend's plans have been spoiled I expect we'll just take each day as it comes. I hope by Monday we'll feel fit enough to go to Cosmeston Medieval Village to watch the re- enactments. And there's an antiques fair this Sunday too. I'll just keep taking the tablets

Re: Sunny Saturday

Been to the garden centre for a few bits and peices now OH has taken Sebi to the allotment and I'm waiting at home with Dominik for my friend to arrive; she's coming down from Droitwich for her neice's 18th this afternoon so is calling in for a coffee and biccies (most of which I've eaten . . . Bahlsen . . . Mmmm ).

Then she'll drop me at the allotment were OH is making a gate and I shall plant courgettes and Dominik will be getting to grips with planting sunflower seeds. I bought him his own hoe also as he was getting quite nifty with mine yesterday!

The weather is warm and sunny overall but still has a slight spring chill in the air out of direct sunshine. Have a lovely weekend all

Re: Sunny Saturday

It's been a super sunny day here, went to Weston early this morning and was surprised to see how packed it was there with loads of holidaymakers down from the Midlands and Wales.

There must have been a Biker Convention on this weekend as there were hundreds of mammoth machines around and leather cladded guys and gals strolling along the seafront

Called into the Garden Centre on the way home for an afternoon cuppa and a mosey round.

Hope you're all enjoying some sunshine today...

Re: Sunny Saturday

No sun here today - but dry, which is great as the last few days have been v wet.

Went to look at chooks today. Have chosen my breeds. So excited, July is too far away.

Managed some weeding this morning and the usual washing/ironing. Night in tonight, fire on, carry out chinese food.

Re: Sunny Saturday

Gardening tine here also, although there's no sun. It's fairly mild, 17C but rain forecast for the next few days, so decided to put out the tomatoes, basil and peppers; they were getting too large for their pots. Had to pull weeds that were in the bed and pick the scallions that had overwintered before turning over the bed ... one of the scallions was so huge it looked like a small leek...never saw one that big before. May even take a pic.
Skipped the library run as I have enough to read...am reading the latest in the Dune pre-trilogy ...any Dune fans here?

CM: what chooks did you decide on?

Hope it's a happy day for all!

Re: Sunny Saturday

We used to keep Light Sussex and Maran.
I loved the Marans - beautiful speckled ladies and the eggs so dark brown you would think they were choccy eggs.
