Wistful Wednesday

Wistful because it's the last day of my extended week off. Back to work tomorrow never mind it's been a rest. A mixed bag tho because I suffered that nasty cold, but I did get out to some nice places.

Only plan for today is some shopping and then meeting my SIL for tea. It's her birthday tomorrow, maybe treat her with a cream cake . We're both supposed to be cutting down but it is a birthday, can't let it pass.

Going off to complete the crossword now, see you later!

Re: Wistful Wednesday

Morning PP! Sorry it's your last day off - hope you enjoy tea with your SIL - cream cake? Go for it!

It's a bit blue and quite a lot of cloud today. Still feeling a bit nippy. OH has gone to play golf, I'm here guarding MIL and Kizzy! I'll try and catch up with a bit of housework today - it's so much easier when you don't have to stop because you're wanted for something else!!!

Have a good day everyone.

Not sure about the quiz tonight - I'm going to PM Steph!

Re: Wistful Wednesday

Looks like it's building up to another nice day today. I've finally finished the little bit of front garden, so am pleased to have done that. Spent a lot of time at the allotment yesterday and am developing a reasonable tan (some would call it weather beaten!)
PP - sorry about the cold. Isn't it amazing how often you save being ill till you have time at the weekend or holiday. Life feels unfair sometimes. I must say that the sniffles I brought back from Georgia have taken ages to go - maybe it was the swine flu after all ... I'll have to get some oinkment (Sorry - I bet you've all seen that joke a hundred times)
Summer starts today with the first Test Match (cricket for non-nationals). Lovely!

Just went through yesterday's thread - Kazz, I hope your Mum and your finger are feeling a bit better today. I had heard of the sterilised needle through the nail trick. I am sure I couldn't do that to myself!!!! Do you have any arnica or witchhazel, even ice would help.

Re: Wistful Wednesday

Well the package I waited in for yesterday arrived early this morning, so we were back to our normal woodland walk routine. It started off a bit dull though warm but by the time we were on our way back home the sky was blue and sunny. Looks like it's going to continue good for the rest of the day and I'm sorry for any of you who are not enjoying such lovely weather.

Does anyone else has cats who love dustbaths? Ours both do this and as the ground is quite dry and dusty at the moment, they're always coming back indoors covered in the stuff and leaving clouds in their wake!

Re: Wistful Wednesday

LOL Mrs H . . . I have a dust monster too, it's Myshka! Longhaired and blonde doesn't exactly match with dirty grey dust but it's the first thing he does when he steps out of the back door

It's sunny and warm here now. I'm feeling I'd rather be anywhere than sitting infront of a PC. I've finished the draft of my mammoth website and now need to call a prospective client but my brain's feeling like mush and I know I'm not going to make much sense

Re: Wistful Wednesday

Afternoon peeps.

Ive been to work this morning and then went shopping for some last holiday things!

Me and my mum went into Mcdonalds (1st time in years) and omg... there was some rough people in there! They even lost one of their kids (I saw the kid about 3 years old, walkin up the stairs n I was watchin the kids parents, they had no clue she had gone!) they finally realised she had gone and started swearing and panicking, ebveyone in there was watcing them (I didn't say aything to the family, I let them sweat it out lol-mean I know but it'll teach em to keep an eye on them)
The mother was only about 16 as well with 2 kids)

Anyway enough of that lol.

Its cloudy here but warm and really windy as well.

Might be going out for a chinese later. will see.

Have a nice day all.

We have some sun finally! Really lifts the spirits after 7 days of clouds and rain! Did the market run. just [pottering around now.

MrsH, Sultan, my Aby was a dust bather, only one I've had....his lovely coat looked a mess afterwards, but he did so enjoy it, bless him! Go for that cream cake, PP! Angie, Steph says he'll be hosting the quiz, but that Chelsea is playing!!
