Find me a family

Anyone watching the Channel 4 programme Find me a family? I am finding it really interesting and informative....I wonder if it will spur pepole into taking the next step from thinking to doing something about fostering/adopting or stop them dead in their tracks?

Re: Find me a family

I watched it last night, found it interesting but it surface-skimmed a little. We went some of the way down this route as it was almost a dead cert I couldn't conceive (don't believe everything the doctors tell you) - I found the process soulless, intrusive, judgemental and, as the woman pointed out yesterday, a very negative experience overall.

Re: Find me a family

We found the fostering process similar to this Yola.

Fostering is not easy. These children come with so many problems and most have attachment issues. Our lad is rude, uncooperative, has the most incredible mood swings imaginable, he can be aggressive, he threw his TV on the floor the other week and can be very awkward. I know he has been through so much in his life and I try to remember this, but it is not easy when dealing with him everyday.
