Thursday thread

Morning all

Another dismal, overcast day here although it does feel warmer than yesterday.

Went to the GC earlier to top up with a few more plants, hopefully I'll get round to planting them in the next day or so. Had morning coffee there but resisted the chocolate muffins!

Usual jobs about the house to be done including a full basket of ironing, how exciting!

Hope there is sunshine somewhere and you all have a good day

Re: Thursday thread

Hi Mags. It's very overcast here too, with sporadic something-or-nothing spits of rain. Once again we have heavy rain forecst for 'tomorrow'. It feels as though tomorrow never comes!
We've been on similar missions. I've been to the market and got some (more) plants for (more) hanging baskets! I think that will be it now. I was very out of character and bought a couple of do-nuts. Must need a sugar-fix.
No news from here - somebody somewhere must be having an exciting day?

Re: Thursday thread

Well - it is National do-nut week DM, so you are forgiven! Heard that on the radio this morning - it's dreadful because I'm longing for a jam do-nut now as a result and we have a particularly nice little bakers in Emsworth that makes lovely ones!!! A big "well done" though to Mags for resisting those muffins!

Grey here too - a bit warmer than yesterday (only 1 jumper on so far today, 2 yesterday!) I am so glad that dreadful wind has dropped. There are bits of leaves and baby plums everwhere and in one case a decent size branch has come off the field maple. Need to get out and sweep up, but have got lots more transcription to do today so that will have to wait.

That little Kizzy is a perfect time-waster! She needs snuggling and cuddling and playing with and she chirrups at me if I am walking past wherever it is she is, wanting attention. Of course those things are delightful time wasters but I must get on with this typing!!!

Have a good day, whether you have a do-nut or not!

Re: Thursday thread

It's humid here and overcast (brightening all the time though) and no rain. I have an appointment with the dental hygenist this afternoon so doughnuts and muffins probably are not a good idea - plus size 16 is beckoning so I need to stop all these calorific indulgences

Re: Thursday thread

Hi all,

Very grey and overcast here but it is at least a bit warmer now that the wind has dropped .
I too have been t o the GC this morning for a couple of trees for the Mother-in-law, and a lovely display of flowers for my son`s girlfriend`s birthday tomorrow.

No other news from this neck of the woods and no eating of doughnuts .

Re: Thursday thread

Afternoon all, been chasing my tail all day. The alarm went off and instead of heeding the call I thought I'd have a little lie in coz I'm off work. Well, I went back to sleep, very deep sleep, and then work all groggy and thick headed. TWO HOURS later, realised I was late to get the things done I wanted to get done before I met my friend in town for lunch!

Finally got to the bank then met up with Jude, did our thing and got home to find a message from mum to say had I forgotten to pick up her dry cleaning ( eh, yes!) and could I go and collect now before the shop shuts .... phew! I hate half day Thursdays!... too late shop shut! oh dear.

Only silly curtains, so not vital, will ahve to wait til tomorrow!

soooooooo, everybody ok? gooood! haven't noticed the weather, just feel very damp, guess it's raining again

Re: Thursday thread

I was having problems logging on to Catsey this morning, page would partially load and then just freeze; don't know what it was as all my other sites loaded as usual! It finally worked after the unpteenth try; I was getting very jumpy without my morning fix!!

So here I am with no news; it's grey and overcast with the prediction of t'storms again this afternoon. We didn't get them yesterday.... I agree with DM that the rain seems to be always "tomorrow"! As I didn't go to market this morning I wasn't tempted by do nuts; although Whole Foods has lovely jelly filled ones! Now I'm craving one...

Hope someone somewhere is getting sunshine!

Re: Thursday thread

I've been busy all day but seem to have done nothing1 How does that happen?

Hospital this morning for blood test to monitor my RA, then a bit of shopping in town - toiletries mainly, dog walk after lunch, then a bit of hoovering. That's about it really.

Dog is trying to snooze on the sofa as he's just had his tea but one of the cats is winding him up, prancing in the doorway then running off - I love it when they do that!

Enjoy the rest of Thursday.
