Soggy Sunday

Morning all!

Awoke to a very wet morning, rain lashing on the windows. It has stopped now but the sky is full of angry black clouds.

My daughter and family popped in earlier as they went to Jamie's football club's award presentation last night and he couldn't wait to show us his trophy It's really nice and he held it with pride....in fact it didn't leave his hands all the time he was here! He's only 6 so I felt quite proud of him...

Have a good day, I hope the weather is better where you are!

Re: Soggy Sunday

Morning!

Congratulations to Jamie, what position does he play Mags?

Have to say though its terrible weather here too overcast full of rain clouds and pouring down at the drop of a hat. Doing my garden good though...so I will not complain. Because in the heatwave of July/August along with the hosepipe ban I'll wish and pray for rain like this...Looking on the bright side.

So I am enjoying it, along with the plants. so to me its a
Que Sera, Sera Sunday.

Anyhow have a god day all I will be inside so on catsey loads I imagine.....

Karen

Re: Soggy Sunday

He plays up front Kazz, he has a nippy pair of legs on him and can outrun most of the boys..

Heatwave July/August? Hosepipe ban?? I've almost forgotten what that was! You are on holiday soon aren't you? ........ hope the weather is brighter for you then..

Re: Soggy Sunday

Some very heavy showers passing over here on and off. Took Dominik for his mock ballet exam today. There were only 4 (him + 3 of the girls in his class). I have to admit, I was amazed at his grace and co-ordination. He and one other girl were ever so good, the other two were of the baby hippo variety, but still very endearing in their little ballet dresses. I'll have to get Domi some kind of clothing as he can't really continue dancing in his PE kit.

Then back home to a blazing row with OH - who thankfully has now gone off somewhere. I've been playing brio train tracks with the boys and am about to start their lunch. I hope OH's out for the day as I really have no wish to see his miserable face - all he does is yell at the boys anyway.

Soggy Groggy Sunday here. Up watching the Eurovision nonsense til 11:30, then woken up at 3.00 for a birth, home by 7.45, caught a bit of sleep, now off to work again for a late shift.... ugh! I am stewed!

Thank heavens for the bad weather, if I was missing the sunshine I'd be spitting feathers !! sorry!

Enjoy your lunches and the rest of this Sabbath day.

Congratulations to Jamie
The rain hasn't stopped since I woke. Chances of me getting the roof done before tomorrow are fading fast
Hope everyone enjoys the day of rest. And 2 hours of Lost to look forward to tonight (if you like Lost of course)

I'm a Lost addict ........ but have never actually watched it live on TV yet!
My son let me borrow the complete Season1 a couple of years ago and I was hooked!! I've had the complete Seasons 2, 3 and 4 as pressies since. Now nearing the end of viewing Season 4 and then I can start on the present Season 5 which I've been recording...

Re: Soggy Sunday

Very stormy here too. It was a bit of a washout at Blenhein Place yesterday too. Woodstock is a charming little town though.
Sorry you're having an extra-stormy day too Yola. What is it about Sundays and happy families (not)?
A footie trophy at 6! - do we have a star in the making Mags?
Bentley has caught and recaptured a baby starling, so is now gated and is yowling fit to bust. Sometimes you go off cats! Poor bird is under the car now - hope it recovers and goes off. Very feisty, as they always seem to be

Re: Soggy Sunday

Rain here too. We'd seen it was forecast so OH took the dog out early this morning before I got up. Just a street walk, as he can't be bothered with all the de-twigging, cleaning and brushing that are necessary with a full-coated dog when you walk in the woods. The bloomin' animal managed somehow to collect 2 ticks though . They're the first ones he's had, horrid, nasty beasties. I found them on his head while stroking him just after we'd finished lunch. Yuck!

Checked out the cats in case he's given them any little friends and have re-hoovered everywhere (again, just did it all yesterday!) shaken the spreads on the sofa and chairs and feel as though my flesh is crawling! I've never had to remove ticks in my life before, thank goodness he was calm and kept still for me!

Hope your day is better than mine folks!

Re: Soggy Sunday

Not nice weather here also: yesterday was 27C, today it's a chilly 13, slight drizzle after heavy overnight rain. Typical Washington Spring...one extreme to the other. Skipped the marketing, just pottering around; have the tough weekend puzzle to work on after lunch. Oh, and the blue impatiens
has produced one bloom and another bud...it is VERY blue! Will take a pic when the sun finally shines.

Sorry the weather isn't nice there. Yola, some pics of Domi at the ballet would be nice; sorry OH is being so difficult. Mags, that's so nice to hear about Jamie, no wonder you're so proud of him. MrsH ...ticks, ugh!! Poor Bentley, deprived of his prey; bad mummy! Hang in there, Martin, you'll get that roof on if it ever stops raining.

Think sunshine!!
