Holidays

Where are you all going on holiday this year?

We are considering England or Wales as we have stayed in Scotland last few years.

Considering Cornwall or Lleyn Peninsula. (anyone been there? - good/bad?)

Re: Holidays

We'll be off to Dubrovnik in five days time, this will be our third visit to Croatia and I haven't tired of it yet...

A couple of months later we'll be spending a week in South Devon, just hope the weather is good as Devon and Cornwall are both beautiful counties..

Re: Holidays

Went to Cornwall St Ives in March and caught that fantastic week - I recommend it lovely. Off to Somerset in a couple of weeks and hope to enjoy that as much...

I don't think you can beat the UK when you have the weather.

Re: Holidays

We're off to Italy this year for TWO WEEKS . . . to Le Marche. After last year's fiasco in a rained-out Devon which was beautiful but stressful, I vowed to have guaranteed sunshine this year.

We love Italy, having been there numerous times before the boys' arrival but this time with 2 kids in tow it'll be a challenge but nevertheless one we're determined to enjoy!! Will be staying here: http://www.thehideaway.eu/ - it's run by a lovely, young British couple who have so far, been incredibly helpful!

Re: Holidays

CM - what time of year will you holiday? Makes a significant difference to any recommendation as to where to go.
Cornwall is gorgeous - if it doesn't rain.
Most places are actually well worth visiting - it just depends what you will be looking for.

We're off to France at the end of next month - lovely countryside, easy travelling and good weather! Oh - great food too!
