Sizzling Sunday

(to be followed by Melting Monday and Temperate Tuesday if the forecast is correct!)
Another beautiful cloudless day.
Nothing to do, except water the polytunnel and r-e-l-a-x
Roast chicken dinner (at lunchtime! ) seems a bit much, but I'm sure we'll enjoy it. Maybe have ice cream for dessert; that will be nice and seasonal.
Have a lovely day everyone

Re: Sizzling Sunday

Good morning all and again apologies for my absence for the last few days, mini baby boom here!
Fabulous weather and glad I'm off work. Doing the lunch preparations, then a stack of ironing tonight, the down side of good drying weather I guess ...

have a lovely day

Re: Sizzling Sunday

Glorious weather here today, just been to see our wedding reception venue (for our party in the UK) and now back home, going to do a spot of sunbathing and reading a book this afternoon.

BBQ later, salad, jersey royal potatoes and juicy rump steak, yummy!!!!

Have a good day everybody.

Re: Sizzling Sunday

Yup, another scorcher here today too. Did anyone notice though how the temperature dropped last evening? We were sitting out trying to see if we could see a bat or two, but it got quite cold around 9.00 ish, and we all had to come inside.

We are having chicken this evening for supper, but we have marinaded it and it's just about to come out of the oven now to cool down. We'll have it with salad and new pots - Cornish ones are yummy atm.

Going to plant some salad seeds this afternoon hopefully.

Enjoy the day everyone.

Re: Sizzling Sunday

Glorious day here too but a bit cool, only 21C after last night's rain...yet MORE rain, 7.2" for May so far, way above average. Did the market run, checked on the beans and tomatoes which are doing well; plan a lazy afternoon with Sunday papers and crossword. Ham and cabbage for dinner with a side of pickled beets.

I was sort of rooting for Susan Boyle...it's gotten a lot of coverage here.

Enjoy the day!
